Instead of making a thread to highlight how much you don't understand this game, maybe you should have just stuck to posting in the other thread that's exactly the same as this, without the negative and naive overtones.

They explicitly state: 1) Racial variants are done, but "must be perfect" before being deployed. 2) They are waiting to do it all at once so that they only have to do one respec. Sorry man. It's probably gonna happen. and that's the only time it should happen. it shouldn't be so people can jump to use the next OP weapon. it should be for people who simply want to change dropsuits and support their race, or just change dropsuits. That's also likely not going to happen.
CCP has shown serious interest in paid partial respecs every few months.
It's here to stay.

Yeah maybe as far as the vehicles go,but act like u dont know what im sayin as far as the pphhuking fotm players,,if ccp can manage to give sp back for vehicles only then hell yeah im all for it,,but am sick to death of the constant talk of **** being unfair. U didnt see a respec when the heavy went to **** did u?? Btw your cockholster runs to easily,,like many others in the game who cry-baby their way into getting what they want out of ccp,one of the many downfalls of the game,,,if u dont like what I just said then oh freakin well cuz your not the only one who lost real $$ bcuz of respecs. What u bought then u deal with now,,nuff said Who cares about FoTM
Only players with no skills are worried about other players having solid builds.
Adapt or die.

Reav Hannari wrote:Respecs come down to two distinctly different ways of looking at the game:
1. It's an arcade lobby shooter and the only thing that matters is performance in a match. Respecs don't break the game because there is no persistence or commitment. There is also no role playing because who you are doesn't matter. You are simple a set of stats based on gear. Skills shouldn't even exist.
2. It's a persistent world where our characters develop over time. Relationships are established, empires are won and lost. History matters. Commitment matters. New equipment is introduced by NPCs along with skill books to learn how to use that equipment. Respecs break the history of your character. Respecs break evolving tactics because everyone can switch to that tactic with a simple skill change. Players can choose to role play to whatever degree they want. Faction warfare is about role playing, i.e.: Minmatar Rebels vs the Evil Amarr Slavers. Player connections evolve beyond the simple, canned RPG of FW into alliances. The game can even develop to the point where you are playing even offline (watch the Mittani's presentation from EVE Vegas for an example).
If you want a non-persistent lobby shooter (#1) there are plenty of games. Join your friends and have a good time trying out the latest gear with no commitment and that's fine. However, CCP is building DUST along the same lines as EVE. They are not yet done but are actively working towards #2. They will only use respecs when they are fixing something. I'm here for the persistent world.
Arcade style shooters bore me. Completely changing my character through a full respec kills any emotional investment I have in my characters. No
What it actually boils down to is who sees the game for what it is, and who sees the game for what they want it to be.
People who see the game for what it actually is, see #1
People who are still drinking dream tea, see #2

So every vehicle pilot has to just suck it up and grind out millions more SP for CORE turret skills in order to make their vehicles effective again?
Yea, that sounds good.
