Respec will happen, too many sweeping changes not to.
With the addition, removal, and changes to CORE skills, it would be impossible to say our decisions meant anything when everything gets shuffled around again. Just look at the new Turret skills, if you don't believe respecs are needed in light of these changes then you don't understand how this game works.

CORE skills are CORE skills. Changing, adding, and removing them changes everything.
I'm not going to argue this because it's simple, all you have to do is look at the proposed changes and use your brain to see that many past fits, particularly for vehicles, will not only be altered, they will be gone. Nevermind what's being added; vast amounts of turret skills, new turret functionality, new mandatory vehicle skills, possible new vehicles.
It's not FoTM.
It's people wanting their time and money to actually mean something.

they have to give a respec they dont this game will die 1.7 It's not just as simple as that either.
When you go removing and adding vehicle skills, especially the amount of skills being added, CORE skills, you have to look at the big picture. A pilot may have spent SP on infantry skills since they had relevant skills for their vehicle builds maxed out. Now, you add in these skills, maybe that pilot never spent those SP, because now CORE skills are in play, and SP spend on infantry may have never been purchased in the first place.
This is why the respec is argument rarely evolves into relevant discussion, because most people think A+B=C
It's not that simple.
It's about letting people use what they earned in ways they want to use it, in relation to the big picture of having a full suite of CORE skills and equipment to chose from.
