Does it really now means the one with more hp/dmg have higher chance to win a fight?
60% of the time i meet hp stackers/dmg stackers. As far as i can see there 3 fits thats are used very often:
-500/500 shield/armor logi -600to700 armor with 3dmg mods logi/assault -500armor,some shield, 3dmg mods,proto gun,core locus and some adv repping hive logi |

Well, the only two modules worth a damn in your hi-slots are shield extenders or damage mods.
There's a bit more variety in low slots, but people mostly go with plates or reppers.
So if you're asking... why do people fit the best options available to them? I guess because it's a game, and people play to win.

I hate the idea of using inferior shielding on my Gallente Suit, I hate that this game promotes/encourages dualtanking to the degree that it does.
Would love to see penalties for tanking outside the suits race (Minmatar could/should have reduced penalties being dual tankers) and more support modules for armor tankers so I can get rid of these damage mods.
I may have deleted DUST but I still care deeply about this game.

Yeah, but some skills ARE hp stacking/damage stacking. i.e. The +5% shield and armor skills, and the +3% damage proficiency skills.
Unless you were talking about skills as in gun-game, if so, then yes, hp stacking and damage stacking is more important.
Drives a missile tank. Surprise.

Yes. Dual tanking have no pentalies. Since 1.4 and no pentaly for armor plate (2-5% is a joke) everybody go dual tank or 600armor with repps :/ |

Exactly something needs to happen but unfortunately CCP is acting like its working as intended. ...
A damn shame my caldari suit has to rely on dual tanking to survive. . |
