Well this is pretty much it for me. It's been about 6 months or so and PC is still a complete laggy mess. It's always the same crap over and over with the lag setting in about 30 seconds into the game.
I've enjoyed my time playing with some of you guys, others not. All in all this game's simply not fun for me anymore. The competitive aspects are what drive me to play, but when CCP can't manage to make a single match not lag to all hell it's extremely demoralizing in regards to replayability. I probably should have given away my 250m ISK to someone, but it's too late now. The game is deleted and I have no intention of reinstalling it.
Anyways, best of luck to you guys still having fun with this game, and CCP, I pray you can make a competent shooter sometime in the next year/decade/century or however long it takes to figure out how to manage 30 frames per second.
Best wishes,
Funkmaster Whale

I just don't get it. Everything I've tried to fix the framerate is ineffective and perpetually ends in PC slowly deteriorating and becoming absolutely abysmal with framerate. Pubs run great and feel so much more on point with shots and framerate, but for some reason PC matches always end up feeling like you're "floating in water" (ReGnYuM, 2013).
That single frustration of being completely helpless to the impending slideshow when your enemies start approaching is what kills this game for me, and I'm sure it's done it for a lot of other people.
I've put my PS3 aside for now and going to move onto Battlefield 4 for the PC (Personal Computer). The difference is amazing. Not in terms of gameplay mechanics or visuals but just the fact that the game runs constantly at 60+ FPS on my computer gives me so much more positive responsiveness. I don't get those feelings of being cheated by the game through framerate or network lag. Obviously those things exist in other games just as much, but it's not nearly as much of a devastating factor as it is on DUST. That little psychological quirk is huge in my mind, though, and it's, again, why I can't handle constantly having that "OMFG THIS LAG! WHY DOES IT LAG?! NO PLEASE STOP LAGGING!"
I'm hoping it'll be straightened out eventually. Right now though I'm at that stage where I need to stop playing this game because its causing more frustration than fun. That's not healthy.
