EoN. 1579	Posted - 2013.11.02 00:51:00 - [16] - Quote rarely upgrade anything beyond the second tier. never the 4th except at endgame. you should keep the majority of your forces at the lowest level so that you can grab as much open space as possible each turn, use them to chain across 2 or 3 hexes to cut the enemy's realm in half, and use them to unfuck decaying spots. early on you want to push aggressively from every location, constantly buying new units to push further. link the closest zones up as quick as possible to make one or two bigger zones, then focus on the balance between clearing out enemies behind you so that you can get a wall to your rear and pushing forward into enemy territory. if you have one unit and he has a penninsulla of two hexes, put it on the far hex so he doesn't get resources from the hex that you have then stranded in your own territory. if an enemy makes a strong advance with hardened units, slash out behind the enemy to cut his supply lines and watch his machines of war wither away... it was actually a decent game... if slow. "Victory is reserved for those who are willing to pay it's price."
