For example, the dragon fly assault suit? does the Caldari assault suit skill benefit it? Or the Dragonfly scout, is that effected by The gallente scout skill? |

All bpo's of std. gear are affected by their racial skills. I'm not sure about militia.

The Dragobfly should be affected as well as it is a scout suit and not a basic light frame . As long as a BPO Suit is not a basic frame it should be affected by skills. |

All BPO Standard Suits are affected by the racial bonuses you have skilled into them. (Example : Dren Assault BPO benefits from the Caldari Assault Bonus as it is a standard Caldari Assault Suit BPO). Militia gain no benefits from any Bonuses. Hope this helps. |

We had this discussion a long time ago and the conclusion that was summed up back then was if the suit requires no skill to equip, then it does not benefit from the racial skills for that suit class. Dragonfly does not require skills so it does not benefit, but valor does require skills, so it does benefit.
All of the weapons and equipment bpo's benefit from their related skill (militia or standard).
Edir: but the core dropsuit skills will benefit any bpo suit |

The 'Templar' Logi A-1 requires no skill, but it does benefit from the racial skill.
P.S.-The Pryke I'm talking about has Amarr Logi to level 5.

Not true. The Templar Logi and Sever Logi require no skills for example, but both get the Logi bonus of 1 hp/s per level of the respective Logi skills.

Dren set is working the same.
It work this way: if you have the skill you gain the proper bonus. No skill on it no bonus. |

So did they change it to where all the bpo suits get a racial benefit or is it just a select few? I have virtually no sp into the racial stuff because I was still under the impression that it wouldn't help me that much with the bpo's that I have.
Edit: type at same time... I see the above post. thanks |

Proof is in the 'Dren' Logistics M-I and the 'Templar' Logistics M-I. If they weren't affected by skills, then they'd not get the 5hp/s from the relevant Logi skill.

I actually tested this very very carefully, using both the Dragonfly Assault and the Covenant Assault. Both benefit from skillpoints in Caldari Assault. HOWEVER, the gain you get from skills to your shields is pretty negligible. The true benefit of skilling into Caldari Assault is to be able to equip an Advanced suit, which has an extra high slot. |
