Is the veteran pack worth $50?

I mostly want the BPOs, as those are so effective and cheap. I particularly want the LAV BPO since CCP stole my normal one. But the crux of my question is this: Do you think I should I buy the Veteran pack? Is it worth the investment on the hopes that this game picks up, or would I be spending too much on a dying game? P.S. and is there anywhere that I can see a picture of that Convenient assault suit BPO? Thanks!

Not only do you get a BPO LAV which is invaluable, you also get a 1 month active booster, 1 month passive booster, and 100,000 AUR which can buy a bunch more boosters. A new game can last 1 week - 3 months or more worth of fun if you really really enjoy it. They're just trying to stop the bleeding at the moment by covering the wound before it gets bigger. As for whether or not the BPOs are worth it, nobody knows what the plans are for BPOs or when the changes, if there is gonna be one, will be made. For now, BPOs are far more valuable than BPCs and the merc packs are the only ones that give you a ton of extras on top of the AUR. Buying straight AUR is a huge mistake.

I bought both the vet pack back in july, then the elite pack (after I sold my soul to the wife) about a month ago. I love my blood red suit but if I had to do it again I would have bought the elite pack first. You get so much more for your money, but it is more of a commitment. But really ponder how much longer do you see youself playing the game. Good luck with your choice.

Honestly, I think the $100 Elite Pack is a better value if you are looking at the BPO's. One of each class, better variety of weapon BPO's and the LAV too. Honestly it is worth it just for the AURUM and Boosters but all those BPO's are the cream on top. Veteran is cool, especially if you can make use of its ONLY BPO weapon...a Sniper Rifle. If not, then Elite is a better long term investment. And you will never see anything like it again.

I used to play all the time back in Chromosome, but ever since we reached the release build I just haven't been playing as much. I think this is largely because I fell in love with the HMG, and had a blast becoming the best shield Heavy I could be before its untimely demise. But besides, that, the flurry of unpredictable nerfs just left me scratching my head and not knowing what to invest in, which in turn ruined the RPG element of the game. So essentially my question comes down to whether this game will meet or exceed the fun-level of the Chromosome build someday. If CCP sticks with it and fixes this game, then the $50 will be worth it. If they try and fail or just stop trying all together and pull the plug in a few weeks/months, then this will be $50 down the tubes. So, which direction do you guys think is more likely? (and BTW, what do the LAVs from the two packs look like?)

FIGHT FOR A CAUSE, EVEN IF IT'S NEXT TO YOU.

If you want the LAV, the cheapest option is the ebay Dust 514 code for the guristas LAV (only works in North America btw), but it doesnt come pre-fit so you'll have to slap on at least a MLT turret which costs about 9k, I do believe the $50 and $100 pack have pre-fit LAVs so they dont cost anything to use at all. You do get some nice goodies with the vet pack though.

I think player base will fluctuate as people take breaks from it and then come back. (Mercs need downtime like everybody else) As long as CCP keeps passive sp. CCP just hired a new EP, not something you do for a game that your planning to scrap.(unless they use him to run it into the ground lol) DUST is a work in progress, and being along for the ride is kind of cool.

Should get it soon, after 1.6 pretty much everything on the psn store will be crap unless it's aurum for boosters

Unless your getting it for boosters don't bother, I have scout, assault, lav, smg,AR bpos I ll hook you up IF BPO TRADING HAPPENS, but if it doesn't you ll wish you got the pack an that's the risk. Go to psn store an get the starter pack for 9.99 comes with exil assault rifle( WORTH IT) but if you get the 50 pack get the starter too since the 50 $ bpo is only a sniper, suit with 2/2 high low slots an a car. I have spares of all this if you wanna risk seeing of we can market trade other wise you ll never get one, but if you wait for market I got you covered

Having a BPO standard sniper rifle can save you both SP and ISK in the long haul. The Veteran pack similarly does the same with the swarms and shotgun. If funds are an issue either pack would be great, but if you don't care about sniping you'd be better off with the Veteran pack. Both come with a boatload of Aurum that will last you a very long time. I personally like BPOs because I have a bunch of different very cheap (most free) standard suits that require 0 SP investment. All the covenant stuff is blood red, all the dren stuff is a tannish/gold. The Ellecon's come from a long line of Gallente. Tarn chose Peace. Tallen chose war.

I don't even fit mine. it's just a taxi.

Buying 100,000 aurum cost 50 dollars plus 10,000 bonus aurum. However the veteran pack also gives 2 30 day active boosters and 2 30 day passive boosters which cost around 100,000 aurum if you get them from the pack. On top of this you get a bunch of items!!! Vet pack is pretty much twice - three times as good as just buying 100,000 + 10,000 aurum.

I got the blueprint for a Blood Saga LAV which is great because I go through those things like they're water. I also got a blueprint for that assault suit, which I don't really use but its nice to have for a goodwill suit for when I want to get isk and not lose a bunch of gear. It also gave me some other things I haven't even messed with but did give me some boosters (which are useful, but don't run two at once...that's a no no) and 100k worth of aurum and I've been trying new weapons I've never used like the Mass Driver and things like that. So all in all its worth it to me because it lets me mess around with things and try them and also the LAV blueprint is awesome.

You also get a sniper rifle BPO if your into that. Also the blood raider LAV is pretty sweet. The elite pack is also good. You get some earth-ey looking BPO suits and some weapon BPOs. Amarr Sentinal. Gallente Scout. Minmatar Logi. Caldari Assault. All of which need no skill to equip and have the same stats as a STD suit in that class. They also benefit from the racial skills. You also get a Caldari LAV, STD shotgun, STD Assault rifle, STD Swarm launcher and a STD Scrambler Pistol, all of which are BPO. You also get 200,000 aur and 2 active and passive 30 day boosters.

Buying 100,000 aurum cost 50 dollars plus 10,000 bonus aurum. However the veteran pack also gives 1 30 day active boosters and 1 30 day passive boosters which cost around 100,000 aurum if you get them from the pack. On top of this you get a bunch of items!!! Vet pack is pretty much twice - three times as good as just buying 100,000 + 10,000 aurum. This is also the reason why the merc packs are being removed
