I was gonna be picking one up at weekend which i may still do. but if the replacements are going to be the W.A.R packs then i think my spending on this game is gonna go waaaaay down. I thought the idea for DUST to be successful is to grow the playerbase? not force it away, between the balls up of the BPO removal and the changes to merc packs most of the vets are gonna just not bother buying them. seeing as AUR is a make-believe currency you generate out of thin air its pretty much all profit the merc packs were successful because they were a great deal in the playerbases eyes whereas these new W.A.R packs..... well, Arn't! |

They need to quickly bring in all the racial suits and bring back the vanity colours from closed beta like the firebrand and the black/gold or pure white caldari suit ect they were pretty nice and be great to see them again. CCP are making it clear they want BPOs out but the playerbase will soon make it clear they want BPOs IN.
I came up with a system of implementing BPOs into the drone infestation mode.
People have BPOs for one reason, its a free/cheap suit for when they're broke from using proto in PC or FW but since they don't consume anything they 'break' the economy of new eden as its a supply/demand thing So, Make bpos work in same way as EVE. the stations we live in have factory facilities. To get materials to build the suits/weapons/lavs you go run missions in drone infestation where you're given drone salvage (as well as SP and isk) which can be used to build items from BPOs. Make it so the build time works out at 20 suits per day, 30 weapons per day 5 vehicles per day per BPO. introduce Manufacturing Skill which gives +1 manufacturing job per level (total 5) and Manufacturing Efficiency which increases prodution 10% per level (total 50%) meaning with both at level 5 you could produce 150 dropsuits per day for 'free' when market opens up then obviously we can buy/sell drone materials and/or the suits to new players who want cheap suits in order for us to fund our proto gear for PC/FW. also allow trading of BPOs so it adds another aspect of the game for new players that want to help increase their income. they can aim to buy a bpo and start producing items to help them earn money ingame or to get started |

I'd rather not. Some sort of very cheap suit or easy to generate over time would most likely be acceptable by most.
Corps worked, FW is gonna be more like EVE side, PC is based around alliances and corps holding turf in EVE. Like it or not DUST is a part of EVE, the markets will merge and so we'll have to adapt to using things that need building. would you rather build the items yourself or have some eve pilot overpricing them for their gain and not ours? personally i'd rather put 2months SP into a couple industrial skills so i can get a stack of suits for running PvE for a couple hours. not only that but when markets open we're gonna be able to buy boosters with ISK, any extra income just helps mercs along the way |

if they let you trade them. one of the ideas was to let folk keep the bpos permanently but restrict trading/sale of them |
