I've been in some skype chats with some of the CPM and I've brought this stuff up. I guess because most of you don't play a whole lot or just don't see the problem, but none of you seemed to get it. Perhaps Kain did, but didn't comment.
There is incentive to NOT fight in matches. In fact it's the only incentive. If you choose to move forward to those objectives you are making a choice to earn less ISK than those you just passed in the redline, unless of course you've got BPOs. But we've also chosen to not have BPOs (which I agree with).
Just wait until the new FW comes out that are compensated with LP only. Judging from the behavior of players in pubs currently I think that the FW battles will be snooze feasts.

I played three matches yesterday (Domination). They were brutal.
There was just ZERO presence on the field from my team of blueberries. Initially it came from nobody pushing the point before hacking all the outer installations, but after seeing that they'd need to capture the held point instead of defending they bailed.
It's beyond bad.
Really the only fun I've had lately is skirmish with a full squad and a good dropship pilot moving around taking points. |

And that's the thing, it's not inflated at all for people who aren't the top 1% in PC and those that run BPOs 100%. It's such a small amount of people that have large amounts of ISK. I still play with people who talk about having ISK from the uprising market refund!
If you deny that people WILL fight if they are given incentive to do so then you are denying human behavior. That's the bottom line. Please CCP find another economist that wasn't educated in North Korea. |

It's no better in a squad most of the time. You are either hunting along the redline praying for red dots or you feel like it's 6 vs 16.
I've been here a long time and I have a hard time believing that all of a sudden we have 2000 new players that are clueless online at all times.
I could be wrong, but it feels like people are just coasting along waiting for new stuff to come out. Perhaps saving ISK and SP for new content and gear.
If this is true perhaps confirmation of full or partial RESPEC would help. |

Thanks to the dumb a** in the red line we were one man short, and cause two snipers to expose themselves to the enemy. How can you see when your shields are pinging like mad, because a worthless, camper gets his jollies off by doing nothing. CCP give these piece of S*** players a home, if they want to camp give them a small box for them to sit there and do nothing. No ISK, no SP, nothing. If anything you should lose SP. If you go so long without scoring a single SP you should be kicked from the game and fined 250K ISK and 10000 WP. Rant OVER You have no right to complain about how any one plays. Also any one who teamkills is instantly a selfish loser who wants everything to go their way. We did not get this game to do things your way. We got it so we can play and have fun. Winning means nothing if your not having fun. I lose all the time but you know what its still alot of fun. If people are messing around so what? leave the room or turn the game off. Again you have to right to complain about how someone else plays. Maybe you should lose some sp and isk for being a selfish tryhard loser.
Why don't we come to some sort of agreement then?
Why don't we give you guys domination mode on Oceanic servers. You guys can puss it up over there.

In a domination match there is one objective with one single goal. The goal is to capture that single objective and hold it.
How else is there to play that match?
If there is some other way to win aside from holding the objective or cloning the other team I'd love to hear it.
This game does not survive if matches are not fun. Cut the bullshit. Hiding in the redline is not a playstyle.

I'd put 5 mil ISK down that most of the people supporting the passive playstyle are actually alts that people use to fund their other characters play styles.
I actually know one of the alts that I saw in a match AFK'ing the other day. What's funny is that the dude bitches nonstop about the game. Claims to be gone to play a different game, but he cares enough to rubber band to earn ISK.

And even then, unless I'm in a squad, I'm soloing ambush, casually grinding SP until CCP releases something cool. I'm on cruise control. I don't ruin objective games though, ambush only. 
This is understandable to be honest. I wish other people would take this mindset to ambush though. Where there is no objective.
