I have very good video game navigation skillz, many of the people I play with don't, it's frustrating for both of us, think this might be a good start to help get information across to your squad especially now that you don't know where everyone is unless you aim at them and see their name.
The idea is simple, replace the push to talk button (because it's pretty useless anyway) with a pulsing beacon, just press the button to put a waypoint or marker on whatever you're aiming at that lasts about 3 seconds like how the squad leader can set a rally point. Another option could be to have the button press activate the signal on your location and maybe holding the button sets the marker on what you're aiming at, which anyone on your squad can see. I don't think I need to list the different ways this can be used to help give your team an idea of what's going on that can support voice communication, what's also good is that is might be able to give people who don't have mics a way to get everyone's attention too. It's powerpoint 101, visual aids help get the point across.
I don't care what gets put in, I like this idea and it works for me but as long as we can help get something put in that can help players navigate using more than just arbitrarily named landmarks. Let's make it happen! |

What would help coordination more would be if the clone would stop holding the gun at eye level all the time and using so much of the screen. Some guns e.g. MD takes up a lot of screen space that can only be justified if the clone is holding the gun up at eye level all the time. I assume hvy also carrying there guns round at eye level too? |

Never had that be a problem honestly, I usually don't have enemies in the bottom right corner of my screen, they're usually in the center. |

PTT is useful if you have a lot of background noise and you don't want to be broadcasting it to your whole squad the entire match. Why not just give all squad members the "Attack" order option? If you are not squad leader then it won't last as long when the enemy is no longer visible but I suppose it still could help sniper that are providing covering fire. Mark an enemy and they get sniped or the sniper can mark an enemy to warn you of there location.
IDK, just a thought.

Thought about that a while back too, not a bad idea, doesn't need to give extra war points, just a way to spot enemies without a scanner. |

Just allow non-squadleaders to use the orders menu for stuff, like "need ammo here" or "target this" (no extra war points)

However, I think it's kind of annoying all of the button pressing you need to do just go get the order on someone, 1 touch would be great, in fact revamping that for squad leaders would be good too, left on the d pad activates the squad order and then it just adjusts automatically depending on what you're aiming at, if it's a hacked enemy objective, just automatically sets a capture order, if it's a friendly automatically switches to a defend order. Maybe for a neutral turret have it switch between attack and capture every second. |
