I took a break since there were some serious game breaking issues, so I acquired a few million SP and a couple million isk to put towards skills and such. Even with SP under my belt, this game has so many problems and is so aggressive towards new people, I'm surprised this has any fanbase at all.
- grenades can apparently be thrown 60+ meters and deal over 900 damage
- fits become expensive so fast, there's no reason to use anything but the starter fits unless you know you can't die.
- isk payouts are meager at best, players that play constantly and have higher amount of SP get the same range as people who just start. Between 100k and 150k isk from my experience.
- the skill system is horrible to new people, it is in EVE, and it should have NEVER have been added to dust. Unless you've been playing for months and acquire enough isk to pay for all of your skillbooks, you're going to be stuck using the starter fits to pay for your skills, or pay for your skills and not have any money for your fits.
- bonuses from skills are not shown on weapons or modules, which is a huge problem and makes a tier 3 weapon feel like a militia weapon when you read the stats, even though in game you see an obvious difference.
- keyboard and mouse players have an advantage over controller users, they always have and always will. They have aim helper added on to their ability of precision that controller users are missing, making controller users feel lacking, or a keyboard and mouse almost mandatory.
- dropsuit skill requirements are insane, if someone wants to switch from a logistics user to assault, they need to somehow get 150,000 SP or more just for the suit.
- almost every stat for weapons are wrong. I can die from sniper rifle range from a grenade, which shows the maximum damage of 600, but magically deals almost 1000 damage. And assault rifles deal over 100 damage per shot from over 70m away, but a sniper rifle won't do even 100 unless you hit their head.
The game's concepts are flawed, and brutal towards anyone who hasn't been playing every day since the closed beta. The people who play constantly and have a constant supply of isk from EVE (seriously, get the payouts on EVE's level) will always win over people who just wanted to have some fun. At the current state, it's not about who's better, it's just about who has more SP and money. Your heart is full of lies, as is your thread.
I've been playing this game since the end of July, so I'm a relatively new player. I will admit moving from BF3 to this game was quite a feat. After a few weeks of playing I finally grasped it. The learning curve for this game is much different than "pick up and go" first person shooters. Now 3 months into playing DUST I have over 70 million ISK, 10 million skill points and am a mere 100,000 WP from the leaderboards. This game takes time to get used to, its by no means unplayable. New players can be just as effective as players with 20 million plus skill points.
I'd also like to point out than the majority of your numbers are completely wrong, as are your statements. |
