don't get me wrong. i'm all for a good protostomp. i get protostomped in most of the matches i play. that's how you get better at the game, but in my opinion officer weapons in pubs takes it just a little too far. its not like it's the end o the world if it happens, but i just dont see the point in doing it ALL THE TIME. what does that prove? if i had officer nova knives or shotguns i would definitely use every now and then, since i cant play PC but by no means would i use it all the time.

when youre tanker you rake in the officer wepaons. i have my proto suit and decent skills to give it anoyying survivabiltty. so when i have 60 balacs and 90 krins nad 50 thales. WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THEM? sinc ei dont play PC.
i put them on my proto gallente assault and go happy. if i lose it meh. iam a tanker so i dont give a **** i will get it back.. eventually. but i ahve god nows how many officer weapons and not all will be avalaible for use. so i will use the ones i can. and when we can tarde i will be seeling my officer wepaons to highest bidder. ( which forge gun wants 95 gaustans?) |

well I have about 76 balacs and 78 krins left so ill be reinforcing the but hurt  those balacs take a heavy down pretty nicely and everything else for that matter.

I only pull out the wolfman's scrambler pistol for fun, but since I rarely get them in salvaged like I used to I stopped. Usually when you see an officer weapon in the killfeed everyone goes in bounty hunter mode so it actually makes a pub match more exciting.

I agree. This is pretty much my mindset, as soon as I see someone on the kill feed using a named weapon, I make it a point of hunting him down. That be said, after one or two deaths they go back to proto or advanced weapons - they just aren't common enough to use constantly. |

I use them because they were free, forced upon me, and I would get more enjoyment out of using them then getting whatever ISK I could manage from the eventual P2P market.
I've also only lost one ever, due to picking my battles when using them, heh.
You shouldn't fault people who use something the game literally gave to them for free.
