You can check my post history in better topics with better arguments and even better counter arguments on why logi > assault isn't true, but I'll break it down like this: If you fit a logistics suit to be fully tanked at the cost of equipment, it's gimped down to a slightly tankier, more expensive assault suit that doesn't have a sidearm. Sure, it might win a couple of 1v1 engagements, but Dust is a team based game, that's why we have squads and that's why we have heavy suits- to enforce the teamwork dynamic.
This logistics vs assault drama has long been resolved when the CaLogi was nerfed. Back then, the CaLogi could have the highest buffer through its racial bonus, while still having an insane fitting flexibility thanks to its larger CPU/PG pool. Shield vs armor imbalance at the time also made the CaLogi more dominant as well over the other logistics suits- in fact, the Amarr actually needed a buff at the time. The killer bees died with the CaLogi, but people still complain because they want to blame something for their own shortcomings because through mental gymnastics, they believe that they can do no wrong. I die to assaults all the time, but I don't cry about it on the forums because the suit doesn't make the man.
Are the assault's bonuses underwhelming? Depends on who you ask. Is there room for improvement through better assault bonuses? Ask any Gallente or Amarr assault if they shield tank. Scouts and heavies? Do I really need to ask? Is nerfing logistics the answer? Hell no! All it's going to do is screw over another niche role and if you look around, we have enough of that. I don't know what the other suits need, because frankly, I don't use them and it would be better for those users to look for ways to improve them instead of complaining about a role they don't play because they rather drag it down to their standards. This kind of nerf everything logic is like if I posted a topic to nerf all the other weapons because the plasma cannon sucks.

Also, Ammar assault and Amarr logistics have the best dynamic. Both are front line oriented suits, but the Assault has a better offensive bonus with laser weapons while the logistics has better survivability. In the end, it's a matter of play style and weapon choice. Neither one is better, just different.

More slots than assault Scouts are a skinny ginger grandson (no offense to anybody) heavies will survive for .2 seconds longer with the hp buff against a duvolle Cal Logi has no sidearm so towards the middle or end of the match no sidearm will render it useless (unless you die)
For a less agitated experience, Join The Yellow Jacket Club Today. Can't use lasers better than assaults, oh **** son you just got proven wrong! People sould understand amarrs dont really have ''Logi'' suits. Between the low PG and sidearms, the amarr logi can only be a TRUE LOGI OR a MUDERLOGI,not both, like Cal and Gal logis do. Now ; amarrs lack a true murderlogi do it all,but have instead 2 assault suits:-Logi : Amarr assault suit with more equip , better survival chances. Goo with ALL light weapons except laser weaponry. -Assault; More mobility and better shield regen rate, this suit excells at laser weaponry. So basically, what amarr has is Laser assault and Everything else assault XD I couldn't put it any better.

This kind of nerf everything logic is like if I posted a topic to nerf all the other weapons because the plasma cannon sucks. Drag it down to my standards you should read my post Instead of assuming me a QQer. i'm trying to announce logi the best and encourage everyone who don't like to be protostomped to turn yellow. Logi is a support role ultimately meant to crouch behind fatties rep them. But since the natural repper means i don't have to fit armor reppairs meaning more armor plates and more hp But spreadsheet lovers found out it has more hp,can fit active scanner and nanohive, and looks sexy at the same time If you think that's the only thing logistics is meant to do, then that post was for you. There's a lot of issues here with designed purpose, perceived practicality and negative implications. The logistics suit is designed to be a medium frame suit that trades base stats (and sidearm on the other 3 variants) for more fitting versatility over assaults. Assaults are designed with better base stats and more firepower in mind with access to two weapons. Some people prefer to use logistics for that fitting versatility and even a more support focus in mind, others prefer better firepower. Neither suit is really better than the other because they do different things better. A better FPS player might be better in a logistics suit despite the lack of sidearm and find more toys to play with in their equipment slots. It's all just a matter of preference of play instead of this unfortunate implication that logistics > assault.
This was true at one point with the Caldari logistics of old because it could literally fill every role on the field short of carrying heavy weapons at proto level, but that already got sorted out. Most people that complain about logi > assault completely ignore the different play style dynamic. We have the freedom to fit our suits how we want and as long as a logistics suit can't be better than an assault in all areas at the same time, in one single fitting like before, both are just incomparables that people will argue over until the end of time.

LMAO amarr logi has a sidearm,it can fit active scanner, nanohives for ammo, and remote explosives. it is way better at killing then the amaar assault I don't see any offensive bonuses that the logistics has that the assault doesn't. The argument before was that logistics players were ignoring their equipment to be extra tanky. You just stated a fit that's using equipment. A good FPS player is going to be a good FPS player despite the suit, and in most cases the weapon. Doesn't mean the logi is better than the assault but a better player in a different suit with more equipment options.

People keep using these suits as mass murder machines because of their equipment and depending on what suit you use, the high/low power module slots. Everyone going yellow would be ridiculous because of the amount of people who would abuse it, not to mention the people who already do. Also, speaking from experience, "Logi is a support role ultimately meant to crouch behind fatties rep them". This is a good idea times when you need to push. Aside from that keeping your entire team alive, bringing everyone to at least half armor works the best. One Heavy and a Logi against a surprise ambush of 3 Assaults wouldn't have good results compared to half a team of people who are at half armor or more with shields fully charged. If you want to bring TF2 into this, here's how it works in Dust:
-Scout = Spy/Scout/Sniper -Heavy = Pyro/Heavy -Assault and Commando = Soldier/Sniper -Logistics = Medic/Engineer/Demoman

I use the Logi because i have it profile dampned. I use logi because its my main AV fit and i can pack 700+ WHP while using 2 cx damage mods for my Swarms...
But my Imperial + Quantum active scanner Amarr assault is better at killing. And it will be better once ARs are nerfed. i will say it again as people seem to ignore my post THE LOGI CAN FIT THAT ACTIVE SCANNER WITH REMOTE EXPLOSIVES AND NANOHIVES FOR AMMO And he's doing his job as a logistics with using his equipment. The original argument about logi > assault was that a logistics suit could ignore their equipment to be a better assault because they could get more tank. You have a logistics suit that's using equipment and doesn't have that insane tank- which an Amarr logi can't get over its assault counterpart. Working as intended, but you just want assaults to do more.
