why are the officer weapons and new WAR dropsuits named after DEV's and GM's? i noticed this a long time ago, but why? |

Thing is we know who are devs are and who our officers are. we're missing quite a few and the lore behind most of them. Balac is the only well known officer.

I'm somewhat surprised they haven't used the cast of Templar One yet. Only one of the groundpounders was both named AND Empirian, but there are still plenty of names to use.
As for the DEV names, it is a simple, unobtrusive way for them to non-canonically drop their names in their product. Its like a modern Easter Egg, but you don't need to use noclip :D

DEV's should play DUST 514 pub matchs a little more then, so players can rage kill them more often. Ill do to them what I do to my friends or rivals if I fight them.
Run the fat boy right into the middle of the enemy's and kill them.
Good thing Dust514 is free. I would have returned it along time ago.
