From my perspective, they deserve it, they have been working hard on constant updates, listening to BS on the forums, and keeping it all running, The 1.6-1.7 looks like a nerf to most of us, not me, I see what they are doing here, and its not a 'Start' its been going forward since say 1.0 and before, the programing is HUGE compaired to what you guys might think, and the implement of new things takes a great deal of programming as well, so please, give them a break from the complaining? |

Did you read the patch notes? 1.6 is a break for CCP.
They fiddled with a few numbers, phoned it in and said, "Yep, give it a version number."
Now if they released the remaining dropsuits... then I'd be inclided to cut 'em some slack.

lol! You clearly didn't notice the many public holidays Shanghai have had nor the occasional vacation that specific devs have taken over the past 18 months.

Yeah, screw it, they got a ten year plan anyways. Just take off until 2018, they will still have 5 years to finish the original content then! -_-
There is a strong chance you won't like what I have to say.

My thoughts exactly!
The majority of the Dev Team is going to be too busy playing on the PS4

They work 50 hour+ weeks and don't get overtime.
Also chinese government does have mandatory vacation days.

14 years of 6 day, 60 hour weeks, no vacations, holiday work mandatory, and regular pay is a rarity - overtime is laughable. Pity does not reside here. (Go to college, kids.)

8 years 80 hour work weeks, very few vacations, loss of first amendment rights, medical recommends water for all ailments, overtime authorized frequently, money taken out of paycheck to pay for food I never got around to eat because I was always so busy, no hazard pay, Work so dangerous that no civilian insurance wants to insure you. Live at work premises, provided food was horrible, allotted room was the size of a small bed + 3 feet above it. Pay was miserable and taxed still because the state you had mail sent to hates your guts then they try to arrest you for not showing up for jury duty despite laws prevented me from going to jury duty at all. Heating and AC is horrible, the water was not clean and tasted anything like metal to fuel.
And if given the choice I'd do it all over again.

Do you even know what CCP stand's for?
CCP = Crowd Control Productions.
This is how they develop... They even named themself's after the entire concept.. Brandon(the old EP)quit over having to deal with the very name of the company he worked for.
They need to have a tournament where the developers are actively sitting around the players playing it... To see this game actually being played at a proper level... Not to do their balances based upon noobs complaining and inter office dust matches.
This game is where it is because they ignored people telling them this would happen... And went on to create a giant nerf weapon cycle that has already lapped itself a few times...
And sadly... no amount of "I told you so" is making anyone feel better. |

You work hard. He works hard. CCP works hard. We get it.
All I want are the remaining dropsuits, and then I'll be one less monkey on their back making irate forum posts about missing content.
I'll even be happy and positive and nice. <--- See? That's a smile. There more like it where that came from.
JUST RELEASE THE DAMN SUITS CCP and we all get what we want.

I get the impression you don't debug code often, do you?
Generally when working on code 20% of the time is spent actually making code. The rest is generally fixing it.
This is especially true when you are working on a project like DUST, one where you have to develop things with 'down the road' development in mind. It's much harder to make something that is easily open to new code later on, which is why it's often easier to make a product once, than make a product that you'll keep adding to over the years.
Furthermore, with code of this size, it's -very- hard to keep things from not interacting with each other, and often any one problem can have far reaching consequences that wind up in hard (read: impossible) to predict places.
A small arithmetic bug on a 20 variable calc equation that you swore was right can cause a bug in a feature that by all accounts shouldn't even know that equation exists, much less catch a bug from it (and only on leap years) (I'm not joking. Took forever to fix.)

I remember when the militia drop uplink blueprint caused the game to hard freeze, but none of the other uplinks did and in thoery should all have worked the same.
