You stand in a cavernous open space, a simple and sparce white room. It's pristine lacquered panels run up and down the wall interspersed with precise onyx sensors criss-crossing the room in a grid like pattern regulating the temperature and humidity. Around the edges of the room sit all manner of state of the art fitness stations, from complex simulations to rung of carefully maintained weights and dumbbells. In each corner of the room are the hydration stations, vending machines carrying all manner of flashy health products and clear mountain water. A small number of muscled men and women are littered throughout the room, focusing intently on their own workouts. Every now and then you can hear the grunt of extreme effort intermingled with the pulsating rhythmic beat of the latested Gallentean pop music, the occasional Amarr hymn, or the rare and somewhat discordant sounds of Matari bands. In the carter of the room is a wide open space, a number of consoles mark out each section, they allow for a number of settings allowing for selection of all manner of popular sports recognised throughout New Eden.

He could see he had already made a mistake.
His lunge was well executed yes, but poorly timed. Almost immediately after his body moved his mind caught up instantly flooding his entire system with a bitter cocktail of regret and disgust.
In hindsight the next few minutes were simply a blur of pain and exertion, a combination which in his minds eye he knew would not allow him to attempt this fool move again.
In two quick steps he covered the ground between them swinging ham-fistedly at the Matari womans head.
End it quickly, he thought instinctively, end it before she can get moving.
But Satja was moving, shifting her weight across the balls of her feet. She danced dextrously back, falling from her boxers honour stance into a twirl. The next instance the outer part of her fist hammered into the side of his face, with and loud cracking sound, causing him to stagger back a couple of paces, his vision clouded by a red pain.
He wanted desperately to have time to recover but another barrage of blows assaulted him in quick succession. Twin kicks aimed at his gut, the first he rolled into, taking the impact on his should, extraction a sharp cry of pain from Satja, the other slipped beow his guard, hammering the knee and driving him to the floor.
He rolled to the left avoiding what could only have been a finishing blow, a rough heel kick.
With whatever haste and strength he could muster ge pushed himself to his feet. He took half a moment of focus himself, a single good breathe was all it took to calm the shaking muscles, and dull the jolts of pain running up his leg.
He lauched into one of the forms he only partly remembered from Iesa, a viscous kick, that she blocked with ease, a second kick, equally as easy to block, a third kick... and she stumbled back a step.
Without even bothering to finish the movement he threw a brutal jab that managed to slip past her guard. The blow stuck her sternum driving the wind out of her.
Despite himself her could help but notice where he had struck her, not one of his more noble actions, but the blow had put him on ever ground for the first time.
He pressed the attack, more rapid strikes, not committing more than a couple of strikes on one of her guards.
However unbeknownst to him the matari woman had long since figured him out. Mildly embarrassed by the blow ti her pride... and her chest she had hatched a brutal plan.
As he laid another two jabs at her exposed right side, she stepped into him, placing her back again his chest, ramming a bony elbow into his lower torso, winding him, then side stepping out of his reach as he made to grab her. She gritted her teeth grunting as his fist caught her across the jaw, loosening her teeth. Using the weight of his movement, she rammed her knee into the back of his, wrapped her thin arms around his extended arms, taking his weight onto his shoulder, casting him to the floor.
Otherwise an impossible feat for her, he briefly considered mid flight, before crashing onto his back, pain wracking his nerves.
A final blow hammered his chest, once again driving this win from his lungs and spittle from his mouth. He lay their sucking in great breath of air down a raw throat, twitching as spasms of pain jumped from quickly rising, purplish bruises.
"Argh " was all he could muster between pained breaths.
Across from him still standing, hands on knees, grinning triumphantly, Satja began to laugh, clear notes, around the gymnasium. Awkwardly she reached for her chest, wincing at the bruise rapidly appearing. She flushed a bright red but held her self in a dignified pose, then began to brush her hair over her right shoulder again.
Still winded, and unable to move Kador could only watch helpessly in pain, as Maximia approached from across the floor.
He waved, tried to to put on a welcoming smile, but it was crooked and half hearted in his current state.
"Hail Maximia" he mustered from the floor".... I missed you in the ....ugh.... Diner...and at the offices."
Behind him Satja watched the tall woman approaching sceptically.

Maximia Beflas wrote:Vyzion Eyri wrote: He whipped out a book on the mountain ranges and the high reaches of New Eden and began to read as he jogged. Hope nobody thinks this is showing off. Maximia then lowers the volume on her headphones placed on her left ear only. A heavy bass rap music beacons from the headphones ((http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F__5hCMt8s4 if you want to know...let's just say it's kinda like this- I'm not a fan of Kanye West, it's just this beat is just addicting)). She catches in the corner of her eye a man running in an awkward way, she turns her head slowly and notices Vyzion and blinks several times ...what?. She blinks several times and squints her eyes yeah that's a book...... She then looks at the various joggers on the track, and her face calms as she looks down at her body Maybe I need to tone down my leisure clone...
The Templar groggily gets to his feet, fresh waves of pain run through his legs and torso.
"Indeed.... I missed you and Demel before...."
He felt uneasy around the woman, something about their earlier encounter still had him on edge.
Behind he could feel Satja's disapproving glare.
"As for the nature of my business....I had assumed you and Demel were arms dealers but now I know you are designers....well it must be the providence of God. I need a new HAV design drawn up. Light hull, good traction, torque, and mobility. I'll also need a full sensor suite somewhere on board. I need to move fast, hit hard, and be able to get in and out of enemy lines rapidly... Is this something you two could do?"

Satja's sigh was almost palpable, and relief washed over him as Galm turned to leave.
God save me that was a close one, was his first and only though.
He glanced back at the woman, a thin smile played across her features in a very self satisfied manner. He couldn't help but feel betrayed, he knew she had meant no disrespect to him by intervening, but the slumped shoulders, downcast eyes, and dismissing flick of her hair told him she didn't think he stood a chance.
His own shoulders slumped, and he began to relax, one breath at a time, until his heart rate steadied and his hands stopped shaking.
To Maximia he said.
"My apologies....things got a little....tense back there. I hope however we can conclude business as we had planned, though I hope you don't hold it against me if we contract outside of your company in the construction of the prototype."
He glanced over to Niina, he supposed that was her name. Galm had addressed her as such.
"Niina....-haan" he said grasping at the vague memories of the Caldari suffixes. " I suppose its rather pointless to ask this but.... I assume Fae does not like me much....what's his deal? I have done you no wrong."

Maximia Beflas wrote:Maximia then slumps onto a bench press, her legs spread a little and resting her elbows on her thighs. She turns to look at the bar at her side along with the 45 pound bar and 115 weights on each end totaling for a grand 275 load. It's been too long since she'd bench, and she wondered if she still had it in her.
Placing her bag on the side of the bench, she her body under the bar, and taps her feet against the floor gently, finding a good position to begin. She sticks her thumbs outward as she grabs the bar, evening the distance into a wide grip. She then settles, closing her eyes and focusing on her breathing, feeling the slight weight of the bar on her hands. People had made great innovations to humanity, made immortality a reality, and wage massive wars, but the bench press was always the bench press: a firm but cushioned bench, a bar with a stand, and weights.
She then picks the bar off of the stand in a swift movement, her eyes still closed. She slowly brings the bar down to the top of her chest and launches it forward. The weights on both ends tick with each other as she pushes them upwards, bringing the bar up and down in a fluid motion once per second for a 15 seconds. she opens her eyes calmly and exhales, pausing her motion.
The stress was gone, the bull was satiated, and she found calmness and piece. One customer isn't a loss, who knows what could come down the road.
Maximia then shifts her gaze over to the reflex room, noticing the people and the other equipment. I'm gona check that out next.... She then looks back at the bar and continues her set for another 20 seconds and finishes. Placing the bar noisily back onto it's stand and slowly gets back to a siting posture. She sighs and moves her arms in small circles.
At first all Kador could do was stand in mortification at how badly he had squandered the two business opportunities before him, neither committing to one nor the other was a sure sign of indecisiveness.....and in business that was not necessarily a good thing.
Amends had to be made, he considered to himself. Double perhaps? Triple? The figures he was imagining horrified him even more.
He snapped back into the present, only barely acknowledging that he had slipped into an absentminded daze. How unlike himself that was.
He glanced about, noting Satja, still at his shoulder, loyally, with a bored expression on her gentle features. She gave him a wry smile as she noticed his glance, a hint that she was finished here. Perhaps the pair were done here, the fresh bruises she had given him wracked his powerful frame with spasms of pain that lanced down his forearms and thighs.
However things had to be righted first. The heathen was gone. Probably having made some smartarse comment or another and then left without even being excused, however right then the Templar simply didn't care to pursue the matter.
He noticed Maximia, having just finished her work out with some weights, she is sitting down, swinging her arms in great loops.
He approaches cautiously. Something about the woman always put him on edge, he wasn't sure quite what, only perhaps he was not used the air of strength she seemed to possess. While somewhat lacking in certain feminine charms, she had her own. The height for one thing, the red hair, something uncommon in that he supposed, and the gaze she managed to hold whoever she was talking to with....intense, sometimes a little uncomfortably so.
"Hail Maximia....pardon me for my....hesitance....such matters of buisness are unfamiliar to me. However I feel I have slighted you in some regard, and by extension Demel as well." He was gathering steam here. " I know we agreed to deal with one another, and I am not one to go back on my word. As mentioned earlier you have the specifications of the HAV I need designed, I would only be too happy to reimburse your and Demel for your time....and then some....perhaps say double the initial estimates I received from him? If that please you then shall we toast to this at the newly re-opened bar?"
He trailed off, waiting to see what she thought of his proposal. Behind him Satja grunted bitterly.

"Uh..." Maximia says, blinking slightly, struck by confusion. ...so I didn't **** up the deal. She quickly stands up and points at Kador in a swift but cool (as in low temperature not saucy swaggery) fashion. "You never agreed to anything." She says to him calmly as she lowers her hand. "After all, the Eskola," She says bitterly, "...Girl had Jove tech....Then again, it's really up to you." She notices Sajta's displeasure and decides to finish up the chat, not worth messing up one perhaps last chance to gain another contract. "No need to reimburse, Demel's pretty efficient when it comes to making quality equipment, he's got this....thing full of wires and implants- but to rap things up, It'll best if you talk to Demel, I work on accounting and appointments more than the technical...He'll know more." She smiles at Kador and Sajta and bows to them. After some time had passed and they had left, Maximia looks around the weight room. I guess business is done.... She makes her way to her bag, picking it up and throwing onto her back, and slowly walks out of the gymnasium. She'd surely visit later. (To Hallways)
"Am I to assume you are taking me to Demel, or shall we schedule a later appointment?" He called out after her tentatively. He had dodged a massive scrambler bolt there. Sealed the deal, and escaped paying double....someone above he briefly considered had just saved his ass a lot of ISK.
