Here's the sad part:
I have two relatively cheap suits--a standard Assault Gallente medium frame and an advanced Gallente scout suit.
1 high/3 low on the assault, 2/2 on the scout.
Both can carry two basic dampeners, with the assault gaining a basic reactive plate and the scout gaining an extra basic shield extender. Take away the Gallente scout bonus (the only thing that makes it all useful) and you have a slightly slower assault suit (we're talking .5 meters per second or thereabouts) that boasts an easy 100+EHP more than the scout, all at a cost of the 5 scan profile points. I'm trying really, really hard to have fun playing as a scout...but the current setup really doesn't have many advantages over a medium suit.

If you're a scout and you're using a gun at all you're doing it wrong. If you're hacking objectives you're doing it wrong. If you're using the imaginary "stealth" that people love to bring up all the time, you're doing it wrong. If someone you're hunting tanks a shotgun blast to the face, turns around and downs you you're doing it wrong. If you're outrunning a medium suit you're doing it wrong. If you're not prostrating in front of your AR overlords you're doing it wrong. SMH. Get out of here scrub.
Basically, all snipers should be scouts and all scouts should be snipers.
