Scouts do need something of their own though. Not too sure what.
Our tank is a combination of speed & stealth. Stealth is starting to get there but the speed could use a buff.
As for active mods/equipment that I would like to be scout exclusive:
Cloak Tacnet jamming Kinetic overdrive - large increase into movement & sprint speed for a limited amount of time |

I think it would be cooler if we could make orbitals miss their intended targets. E.G. Red sets an orbital to hit your team, you activate something that causes it to hit 30-50 meters away from where the red had set it. |

knight of 6 wrote:I have a problem with scout only mods, the scout is a stripped down barebones suit, if something can fit on it, why wouldn't it fit on a larger suit?
that said, base speed mods. they passively increase your non sprint speed. good for nova knifers and normal scouts speed tank :)
Well, for cloaking the scout suit has several advantages.
It is smaller so less area needing to be cloaked. Power usage tends to increase exponentially in the real world so it could require an unfeasible amount of power to cloak larger suits. Also, I remember there being something in the description stating the suit was designed to be cloaked unlike other suits. |

Fox Gaden wrote:A couple of people have mentioned remote hacking devices.
For a remote hacking device to be balanced it would have to be a destroyable device that would have to be deployed within 5m of a hackable object. Then when you activate it, you would have to remain still holding the button for the same amount of time as with a normal hack. It would basically just be a relay.
The benefit would be that you could hack an objective while hiding under a stair well or in a back corner.
The balance is that (1) the remote hacking device can still be destroyed by a defender, although like an Uplink it is harder to hit, and (2) you are still vulnerable (immobile) when hacking.
That would be fun to use. Can we make it not have a glowing bubble effect or anything else that outright gives it away until we activate it? |
