Now since the scout is on the opposite side of the spectrum of the heavy, CCP you need to add content that's only usable by the scout. I'm not talking about weapons I'm talking about certain equipment and modules used for electronic warfare, like cloaking or jammers. This gives scouts the edge they need the same way something like the forge gives heavies the edge it needs. What do you have after this? A suit which is now defined on the battlefield.
Also being able to have squad vision back for scouts would be a boost.
Now, Dust population, what would you like to see exclusive to scouts and what would would you like to see available to the rest of the suits?
(talking about items for use in e-warfare) I agree, although extending the base radar range for Scouts out to 16m is certainly a good start, at least for the Gallente Scout.
I think Cloaking Devices should only be useable by Scouts.

The Gallente Scout got a workable scan range now to go with its suit bonus.
Maybe it is time to give the Minmatar Scout a bit more base speed?

A couple of people have mentioned remote hacking devices. (Hacking Relays)
For a remote hacking device to be balanced it would have to be a destroyable device that would have to be deployed within 5m of a hackable object. Then when you activate it, you would have to remain still holding the button for the same amount of time as with a normal hack. It would basically just be a relay.
The benefit would be that you could hack an objective while hiding under a stair well or in a back corner.
The balance is that (1) the remote hacking device can still be destroyed by a defender, although like an Uplink it is harder to hit, and (2) you are still vulnerable (immobile) when hacking.
It would be useful if you could deploy two of them though and hack the CRU and the Objective at the same time.

That would be fun to use. Can we make it not have a glowing bubble effect or anything else that outright gives it away until we activate it? Think no bubble, like a Remote Explosive, but larger, the size of an Uplink. |
