Erm am I missing something about the EU tournament we have 8 teams who have no first match and therefore are automatically through to the next one why cant they just run 4 extra matches its kind of unfair that 8 teams get a free pass.
TEST signature please help me think of a better one.

How do you expect them to run extra matches? That would only get you 12 teams for the eight round 2 matches.
This is how it's set up and the only way it can be set up. It's unfortunate that we didn't have 32 teams signed up, but would you rather have them exclude 8 teams from participating? |

No but they could have done what I put in my edit. Have the 24 split into pairs then the remaining 12 then the remaining 6 and with the last 3 have each play the other 2 like a league system its not perfect but at least everyone would start on equal footing.

The bottom half for EU is obviously stacked beyond belief, and I'll be very surprised if the winner came from the upper half. There just isn't a good and easy way to do the seedings, so everyone will just have to deal with it. |

NA - AE unless they get disqualified for exploiting glitches this time. Then it could go to either Opus Arcana or 0uter.Heaven.

If I recall correctly the different rounds have different maps so each round in theory i new tactics are required each map and no it doesn't matter anyway to win you have to beat whats infront of you, don't get me wrong I am ok with this format and I still want to be a part of it I was just proposing a change that could in my opinion make it better.
Also lets be honest how long before some team who didn't get a by blaming burn out or fatigue on an equally ridiculous excuse on a poor performance and its pretty much fact that someone not even involved with the tournament will pop up with their tinfoil hat on claiming CCP playing favourites or other such nonsense and thoroughly bash the tournament as much as possible when a tournament like this should be helping put DUST in the spot light.

I think the real winners of the tournament will be the same for each region. Nanohives and Core locus grenades.
Ok ok i'm joking my, my earlier comments about a possible different way of doing this aside I am quite pleased with this tournament (my first lol) and I am honestly surprised by how many teams have signed up in the EU division and if this goes well and maybe someone does some streaming of these matches it could be some nice publicity for DUST good luck to everyone participating and I hope we get some good matches out of this.

Ooh sorry for double post but while your here Tech De Ra is there anyway ESL and CCP can get these matches streamed or recorded or would that be something only players can do.

We encourage anyone who can to record and upload thier matches on youtube and/or stream it on twitch
We were looking into live streaming the finals but the method of doing that was hard to accomplish given the timeframe, so i highly doubt you will see anything from us, hopefully that will be something we can do in the future
