i'm predicting that CCP flips the switch just like they did last week & the week before
so that the amarr & caldari start to take over FW until its 100% in their favor
so all you gallente and minmatar prepare for spawning into 3/4 empty games that are already redlined

If you're spawning into matches where your team is mostly empty it means that there aren't enough people fighting for your side. Not that CCP is conspiring to screw over your faction...

It just seemed so hard to believe that both aligned factions achieved superiority at the same time, and lost their ground at the same time....
Talked to Hans about it, perhaps when he gets more solid info on FW stats we can clear up this oddity.

I don't disagree that the factions players are working hatrd, I personally believe the low player counts mean that players end up working for their allied faction as well. This way when one side rises, so too does its ally.

What switch? Before the faction warfare event my experience is that almost nobody fights for the Ammar, we almost never see any enemy squads on the Amarr side. We ran FW all day today and ran into 3 guys from PIE in one match. Thats it, all day it was redlining randoms and its been like this since the event ended.
You had everyone fighting for you in the event, you gained all the territory, the event ends and they all leave you and it goes back to the way it was. I can only assume it is like this for the gallente aswell, the few matches we have done with gallente often have another squad with us and no one on the caldari side. |

also the trend your seeing this week and since the FW event ended with the gallente/minmatar facing empty teams of amarr/caldari are the exact same matchmaking fails that the gallente/minmatar were dealing with the whole week of the event
the switch is just a prediction so now I will wait and see

Here's how I would explain it:
The Gallente and Minmatar are more popular, being, at first glance, the 'good guys'. That makes them quite popular, which in turn leads to more people playing for those factions. Due to matchmaking oddities, there are often partially empty teams on the other side when one side has a significant numerical advantage. A large number of victories are won because one side cannot put up a full resistance, and the greater the numerical advantage the greater this problem is.
When the FW event happened with rewards greatly favouring the Caldari and Amarr, many people played for them. That led to a reversal in the numbers trend. After the event ended, those two factions no longer had that advantage and so things returned to the way they were.

I play both Minmatar and Gallente FW, it seems that Gal & Min share mercs, usually Amarr player play only for their faction, while Caldari players choose between Minmatar and Amarr for second FW choice. This is what it seems to me, probably it's not true, but the feeling is this.
