I don't see a lot of posts about this, so I suppose it's possible I'm the only one:
I thought that issues with Mouse users and the radial menu (to select equipment) were supposed to have been fixed with Uprising 1.4, but when I hit capslock to bring up the radial menu, the selector still moves around like crazy. It's nearly impossible for me to select the item I want.
I can scrollwheel between weapons, but playing Logi is impossible, and even selecting a needle to pick somebody up is impossible on assault builds.
I've tried this with both logitech and microsoft mice, directly plugged in and plugged in through USB.
I'm currently in the process of reformatting my PS3 and re-installing DUST to see if I have some sort of legacy issue, but is this still a problem that mouse users are having? |

I have found that it's gotten better but it is by no means the best that it's been. |

you can press the scroll wheel down (mouse-3) to get the menu as well.
I personally have never had any problem with the radial menu recently, works like a charm. |

After reformatting, I tested again. It's still as bad as it was.
It doesn't actually have a cursor on the radial menu while I'm not moving the mouse. Once I move the mouse, the cursor seems to disappear and re-appear rapidly, but it stays in roughly the same place on the menu. I can switch to equipment maybe once in five or six tries, but of course this gets me killed all the time when I'm trying to revive someone, let alone trying to repair them. |

to revive somone you just push E when you are over the body no need to switch equipment for that.

the wheel menu needs to go away for KBM users. Use a module based activation option like 1 2 3 4 or f1 f2 f3 f4 etc... |

I concur wholeheartedly. Alternatively, let us scroll to equipment with a physical mousewheel. |

FWIW I've found the KB/M is worse in 1.5 than in earlier revs. It drops more mouse presses and the diagonal swipe to hit an equipment slot highlights the selection for a moment then, when the mouse button is released no selection is made. I experienced this behaviour in earlier builds, it got better for a while, and now it's getting worse.
It is but to keep the nerves at strain, to dry one's eyes and laugh at a fall, and baffled, get up and begin again.

Welcome to the KB+M bugs paradise.
However you exaggerated, I awlays play logi with this problem and found out the solution is patience. Its a good solution, because its the same solution to most dust problems/frustrations :) Also with patience you can swap to whatever weapon/equipment you want with no problem, if u are nervous and trying to switch equipment as a madman, then you will keep on with this problem.
@Arlon Physson : scroll equpment with physical mousewheel is inproponible, really. You would spend most of your time throwing hives to your enemies and scanning them down to death.
@S Park Finner: keep the mouse in that direction and choose the equipment. If you move mouse on radial position, but you don't force that position when exiting the radial, you will actually trigger nothing! That is how it works, its not a bug. If you don't want to choose nothing from the menu, then you just release in no position (and it whats happens to you if you do it fast). Maybe some more sticking to the selection could be useful..
@nakaya indigene: wheel menu its ok. they should ADD keyboard activation keys without removing current system but would make it unfair against controllers.
@Arlon Physson (about injector): you really switch to the injector? don't think you realized how it works..Before reviving switch to repair too, then revive the ally and you will magically be ready to repair him aswell. Also, please don't revive people who don't expressively ask for (blink) |
