Hi, has anyone else noticed a delay now required after switching weapons?
This has been bugging me a few weeks. But now i just got shotgunned, lol, and its pissin me off!
When i switch to smg, i used to be able to use it immediately... Now i must wait a second or it will fail to fire. |

It is because of the switching. If you switch weapons and fire too quick, it will cancel the switch and fire with the previous.
Sucks for me, cause I switch from knives to SMG. |

It's worse with certain weapons, also after switch we are unable to go ADS immediatly and it's terribly annoying. |

I was stray dancing with a heavy last night and when I was switching to my SMG and threw an uplink at him. To his credit, he paused for the extra 2 seconds off me to get my SMG out...THEN killed me since I was laughing my a$$ off.
I think he proceeded to camp my uplink for 3 or 4 kills...good on him. |

I have been noticing not only a delay in the weapon switching, which may be a precursor to implementing a long awaited skill; quick draw. This was a skill that actually was introduced over a year ago by a number of us back in closed beat. But his is just hope and speculation.
Also there has been extreme delays in the switch from emptying the magazine to when the animation occurs for the reload. I donGÇÖt know if this is a glitch or hiccup due to the issues of lag and choppier than average frames rates observed lately.
This is occurring with both the main weapon to side arm switch, and back, while it is also occurring when switching from the weapon (either one) to equipment and back. As a logi that is deadly in CQC situations. So in a nut shell all of the animations involved with the switching of weapons, equipment, and the reloading of magazines all seem to be delayed more than usual and have caused a number of deaths for me when I have had the expectation of a particular norm in transition timing.

So I am not the only one. This seems to be a glitch induced with the last changes done to the server during Wednesday downtime (i.e., the rewards from the FW event).

God please fix weapons swap, weapons swap has been a plague on me for as long as I have been running a decent sidearm....
half the time it doesn't swap or it hangs on swap then you try to swap again and it swaps beck to the weapon you are using in the first place.
this is one of the last things in this game that makes it damn near unplayable. |

I've found the weapon swap to be real slow when using the plasma cannon, though that could be because that's when I need to swap the most |
