What really makes that different than any other QQ/rant/I quit thread?

Is it because he's "popular"?

Is it because he swore a lot?

Is it because he is (or was) in a top name corp?

I'm not saying I don't get frustrated with the game sometimes. Like when I'm trying to track a Kb/M Super Strafer with my DS3 and it's deadzone limitations, or when I'm faced off against 3 full squads of coordinated proto bears, and my team has 1 squad (mine) and 10 fish, fresh from the Academy.

All I'm saying is his post didn't warrant the amount of attention it received. Are we in High School? Is this a popularity contest? Did he provide any real good feedback or suggestions on how to make the game better? Did he present them in a manner acceptable to the general public, or was his post just an immature outlashing at a group of DEVs who are genuinely only trying to provide us with a decent F2P FPS using the resources they have available?

What other things has he attempted to accomplish for DUST 514? That I know of, all he and his corp do is ruin the NPE by protostomping the tiniest bit of hope any new player might have been trying to hold out for this game.

Oh, and he might have done a smidget of forum trolling.

It was entertaining to read, but it really contributed nothing to improvement of the game, which is what a forum warrior's battle is fought for. So no, it didn't really warrant the attention and only got the attention because of his corp affiliation. Had anyone else made that post, they would have been laughed, ridiculed, and trolled right off these forums. Tell me I'm wrong.

I play this game so much I have earned 15 mil SP since the second week of march, with the help of only one 7 Day Active and one 30 Day Passive Booster. I'm talking somewhere in the Neighborhood of 1500 - 2000 hrs logged.

I've played enough PC matches to know that the only difference between PC and Pubs is that there are less people with Core Locus Grenades and Freedom Mass Drivers in Pubs and FW than there are in PC. No worries though, with the new players being driven off by n00b stomping protocrutch scrubs, that is already changing.

Then you tell me, what is soooo damn special about PC. What makes it soooo much more difficult than Pubs or FW? Is it the teams which are generally balanced in terms of SP and Gear?

Is it the fact that both teams have a fully structured roster with all 16 players working together for the Victory?

I guess I could see where most protocrutch users would find evenly matched teams too challenging. After all, they have spent most of their time in DUST redlining noobs in Pubs and picking them off with their fully specced ARs and Ishukone AFGs.

I know good and well that no one in any corp who plays PC cares about ISK. That is a major problem. Losing 15 proto suits should means something, but sadly it doesn't. That's my point! The failhards protostomp n00bs all day without anything to hold you back.

Don't sit there trying to deny doing it either because I have personally seen your name in a match of 3 fully stacked EON squads running all proto in FW agains 1 single squad of my Corp teamed with a bunch of n00bs. You're no ******* saint!

I consider every aspect of how a weapon is used, that is why I don't want CCP nerfing the FG simply because someone with a hard on for statwhoring got on top of a 200 m tall tower and camped an objective with it.

Can it be used like that, well sure, but nerfing it to uselessness at ground level would only ensure it get's used like that.

Can you play Pubs in Proto from now till doomsday, sure. Doesn't mean you have to and CCP is surely not forcing you to. You don't seem to care that it's driving away new players though.

Can you sit on top of a tower and Camp with a FG, sure, but is it healthy for the game? No!

Do you even know what sportsmanship is? Is sportsmanship not a part of being competitive?
