Okay so I am considering some hypotheticals right now.
Primary being, if 1.7 is content packed, e.g Light Frames, Heavies, Vehicles (shut up don't tell me I am na+»ve I need to believe), then what if hypothetically speaking CCP gave us a respec would I spec into again.
The answer comes simply to mind.
Amarr Pilot Dropsuit Amarr HAV
and with cross training Amarr Scout.
So working off of these assumptions, assuming I had 10 Million SP, 5 for vehicles, 5 for Drop Suits, and assuming the current skill multipliers and the ones assigned in the vehicle rebalance thread hold true, what would give me the greatest range of possible fits, and of course some general specialisations that would bring me some enjoyment.
So withouth further ado I need to calculate the SP values of the following skills. If you happen to know where I can find some spread sheets with the SP costs of Dust skills or a skill calculator please link it to me,
DropSuit Command
Amarr Scoutv III (assume GalScout) Amarr Pilot III (assume GalScout) Dropsuit Command III
DropSuit Upgrades Armour Upgrades Core skill at V, remaining at 3 Shield Upgrades Core skill at V, remaining at 3 Scanning III Drop Uplinks III Hacking III
Weaponry
Weaponry 3 Explosives 3 Remote Explosives 3 Laser Rifle 3 Scrambler Rifle 3 Scrambler Pistol 5
How much SP would this cost a guy do you all think? Please do let me know if you have any links that can help me out. |

I'm keeping everything I have the same except going amarr DS and HAV instead of gallente DS an HAV.....I have 900k un allocated sp so I'll toss that into pilot suits |

If i had a respec, i would just buy Passive stuff , use BPO, and when Amarr scouts come out i'll just epend it ALL on those.. muahahahaha... |

A fully maxed out Madrugar/Amarr variant will run you 16.7 million SP. That doesn't include the pilot suit. |

AND that fully maxed tank can still be soloed by proto swarms according to calculations based on future efficiency, damage mods, base weapon damage, and resist. |

So yes I am in a really tough spot, Either a 9 Mill to used both suits efficiently, or the partial spec into both the Pilot and the Tank.... its a tough world..... that is even assuming we get a respec... |

Between 15 and 16 mil SP to max armor/shield skills, basic HAV skills, turret mod related skills, and some turret type. Then about 2.5 mil to proto any suit. So yeah. Gold luck with that. However, u can run a recent tank with 4 mil SP. Haha |

I think I'll be q with MN tank guy when they come out. Speed and "gank tank" it just like in chrome. They're so fun :) Tanking tanks is for wimps. |

Unless you are fully invested and on your game appears that your skills need to be nearly maxed out to give you a chance. |

Ok, so I'm planning to do the same thing as you. Since I know for a fact that Amarr scout will come before Amarr vehicles, however, I am going to put more emphasis on that right away. So here's my idea:

Now right now I have 11.7 million SP (we're both sort of regretting starting over after Uprising, aren't we True?). By the time 1.7 hits, which I'm assuming is 5 weeks from now, I should have around 14.5 million SP (still have boosters left over). This leaves me with 3.3 million SP to spend on vehicles, so using the new vehicle skills,
Vehicle Command Vehicle Command III: 68,400 Dropship Operations I: 24,800 Total: 93,200
Vehicle Upgrades Vehicle Upgrades III: 68,400 Vehicle Armor Upgrades V: 621,840 Vehicle Armor Repair Systems III: 205,200 Vehicle Core Upgrades V: 621,840 Engine Core Calibration III: 342,000 Core Grid Management III: 342,000 Total: 2,201,280
Turret Operation Turret Operations 1: 6,220 Small Turret Operations V: 621,840 Total: 628,060
New Total Skill Points: 14,103,290
So that leaves me with around 400,000 unallocated points which I'll decide upon once the update arrives, and then at least another month or two before we see the pilot suit and we'll already have Amarr vehicles unlocked since the skills aren't race specific anymore for vehicles.
Sorry for making this a little more about me, but figure you're close enough to my total skill points that you can use this as a sort of reference. |

Ok, so let me try to tailor this more towards you.
You'll need to take vehicle command to 5, so that's 242,520 more points. HAV Ops 1 is 12,440 more than Dropships Ops 1. You'll need to take turret ops from 1 to 5, so that's 304,700 more points. Then there's turret skills, which should be about the same even though I'm using smalls since I'll use missiles and you'll use blasters for now. Roughly you're looking at spending about 3 million skill points on vehicles to get into a workable fit.
So now assuming you have 10 million points now, and there's 5 weeks left until 1.7 and you use no boosters, that should leave you with 11.8 million skill points when we get there. Subtract the 3 million from vehicles, you have 8.8 million to make a good scout.
Take away the hacking skills, lower Core Upgrades to III, settle with an advances scanner and only enhanced shield extenders, then the infantry skills I listed will only cost 8.7 million.
Just some thoughts, do as you please. |
