100 meter range, ACOG, nice DPS (maybe a little too much DPS), and bonus to armor killing.
Only downside to me is the spool up time, but it's only .2 second right? |

I tried out Shotguns on an alt. There was a squad of Ancient Exiles and 0uter.Heaven on the other team.
I went 5-0 with a Militia Shotgun and Militia Gallente Light Suit :D

I will give the Rail Rifle a try, it sounds interesting enough. The Scrambler will always remain as my weapon of choice though. |

I've been focused on getting the combat rifle.
However, seeing the new stats I may save up my points for the rail rifle.
In any case, combat rifle first and then rail rifle. |

I've thought about, and looked at all your responses. I think I'm going to go for the combat rifle, mainly because I love to do hit and runs and flank the enemy. I'll probably still spec into the rail rifle at some point, but I've always loved the burst assault rifle, so I think the combat rifle is the one for me.
Now, being a Caldari, I am of course going to pair my combat rifle with a MAGSEC SMG whenever that comes out. SoonTM |

I was going to say "Laser Rifle" until I realized that the Rail Rifle will probably not have substantial recoil or other mechanics attached to it, making it superior to Laser Rifles in every way at every range, even after damage build up. So, if my fears are confirmed, "Rail Rifles." |

personally, i'm a minmatar fanboi, though i am a true minmatar and prefer function. So a speed tanked damage stacking minmatar assault with ye ol' gallente AR.
