There's nothing underneath? What if, during consciousness transfer upon death, that which receives our consciousness is only a brain, jacked into a dropsuit?
Is this even possible? I mean, if it was, it could make for some very interesting creations piloted by our brains.
So, to those who know more about this stuff: is it necessary to have a whole clone body for consciousness transfer, or can a simple brain suffice? |

There's a cloned body inside, see: http://youtu.be/FZPCiqBLPM8?t=2m38s |

maybe the clones are just shy and think they have too many fat rolls to walk around naked. Besides, would you want a laser rifle to burn off your twig and berries?

The designers are just to busy rendering many things to busy themselves with this. It would be cool to make and design a clone underneath the suit, though, such a thing is not seen as necessary. So we will have to wait a long while before anything like this is made. |

Cardiac regulators. Also, the dropsuit info for scout frames. Motor assisted movement, not motor-propelled. |

Discussing this or the lore is pointless. Look at the HMG - do you really think the real thing works this way? Bullets not hurting anything beyond 30m? Lol |

Doesn't it say on the amarr assault frames that part of the suit is actually built into the clones spine?
Someone want to confirm this for me as I'm not on right now |

It's actually because were all hideous and sometimes it's just better to keep the helmet on. Kinda like the double-bagger, one for you one for her. |

For now I'm going to theorize that the clones we're using right now are crude, featureless lumps of flesh. Clones do come in varying grades of quality based on what kind of biomass was used to make them.

Okay, the title was just to attract some attention. What I actually wanted to know was whether or not it was possible for a brain to be used alone, and wired into electrically into objects other than a clone body.
For example; how do those capsuleers pilot their ships in a pod, with their bodies suspended in goo? Surely that means it is only their brains doing the work; the body does not carry out decisions. What if we could apply the same thing to mercenaries? Essentially we could 'spawn' as a dropship; there would be no body involved. Just you controlling the dropship; with your brain directly attached to the craft. Or control MTACs as if they WERE our own bodies; the head would simply hold a brain, into which our consciousness is transferred. |

We all look like teletubbies underneath.

I'd believe the 'brains in jars' theory, especially when you look at the heavy dropsuits. The Gallente and Minmatar both defy anatomy with their gorilla builds. |
