(Architect decided to take some time off RP posts, so I'm substituting for him, pardon me if I'm not as good.)
As I looked out my window on Praetoria, towards the burning orange sky, I noticed a fleet ship, a ship I had seen once before. It was Saeldar, the flagship of the PD corporation, Robbing the Hood. I saw it back when I was assigned on Audesder VIII, the flagship loomed over our land and dropped warriors from a strange land, little did I know at the time, those fighters were to be a part of PD alliance as well.
I knew now only one thing, if Saeldar was there, Sver had soon to follow. I had learned from one of my contacts still in the battle that what emerged was not that of PD, or RTH, but a mysterious shadow company of warriors which apparently blitzed the district and planted the RTH flag on sovereign Praetorian soil.
I knew that my brothers in arms would need every available soldier, but my body was too old and frail to be nothing more than cannon fodder, I knew what I had to do, though I did not want to. I picked up my old scrambler pistol from my oak dresser, it still had one clip left in it.
As I pressed the gun to my temple, I knew there would be no turning back, I would be volunteering myself for war, I also thought as i pulled the trigger....
Praetorian Military base, main defense post, District 3
"Admiral Ruan, a number of our cloning tanks just activated." said Lieutenant Nibs from the desk on the far side of the room.
Ruan sighed, "give me the numbers of those tanks"
"3, 7, 12, 20, 37....." she replied.
Admiral Ruan turned towards his Lieutenant immediately, "did you say 37! That means only one thing. Get to that tank immediately."
When Admiral Ruan and Lieutenant Nibs arrived to the 37th cloning tank, there was a figure inside of it.
"open the tank" ordered Admiral Ruan.
As the tank opened, I was thrown to the ground, unable to gain immediate control of my new body. I was barely able to push my body up to a kneeling position, and look up to see my commanding officer and his recruitment officer standing over me.
"Enjoy your time off?" Questioned Lieutenant Nibs as she handed me a set of clothes and a towel to dry off.
"eh, could've gone better. Can't complain though" I replied. "Admiral' I said I turned towards Ruan.
"Welcome back, I'll assume you'll need a sitrep on our current position, Colonel?"
"That'd be nice" I said.
"Walk with me, this way" he said, gesturing toward himself at the same time. "Right, here's our current situation. Recently a number of attacks on our homeworld have been stalled, yet they still hold some territory on our homeworld. But take heart Derrith, the reinforcements we requested we've been able to strike a critical blow into the holding of Red* on Praetoria."
"and RTH?" I inquired. "what of Saeldar, does it still stand?"
"yes, it does, but first things first, we need to clear the remaining Red* forces, and you can't do that looking like that can you?" Mike stopped in front of the barracks. "we kept it the way you like it, dirty."
As I gazed upon my old combat suit, I noticed all the notches, burn marks, and open wounds that it still bore.
"what of Rise of Legion?" I asked.
"We have had successful assaults on their districts in the Klingt system, but you needn't concern yourself with that, you need to suit up for the retaking of Erador City."
The following battle for Erador City was quick, but very bloody. the city was the main battle ground, and as we retook my city, we removed Red* from the city. They fought to the last man.
"Now that we've retaken my city from the invaders, what of the hostile forces inside Klingt and Praetoria"? I asked Admiral Ruan.
"We are currently working on an increased offensive to remove all Rise of Legion territories from the Klingt systems, Along with our current plans to destroy Saeldar and reclaim our land on Praetoria."
"So Rise of Legion will fall?" I joked. I knew as I said that only Mike would actually laugh at that. "And also Mike, I'd like to go after Saeldar first, if it's all the same to you." I finished as I looked at the RTH flagship looming over our homeland.
