DUST Search - Sometimes I wish there was a standard-only mode

But I am crazy after all. I'm a GalLogi who uses a Plasma Cannon and likes Regen more than eHP.

I get some good 'hate mails' where people are like... BPO SUIT AND GUN REALLY????? lol

But, I do love mowing down 150,000+ ISK Dropsuits in my 25,000 ISK Advanced Heavy and going at least 2:1 on the would-be show-offs. Somebody is going to say "...player count, blah, blah, blah..." but I think there are enough players running around in pubs (even at the deadest times - when I play) to populate the the lower levels and force the Proto wannabes to play on a lower level to play in populated matches. Which forces Proto exclusivity to FW and PC, where it matters.

Considering the skill bonuses are at most 25%, that's a hell of a lot fairer than what we've got now. It would make sense if you had higher-powered gear restricted from use in high-sec for example, ADV and lower in low-sec, anything goes in null-sec. I presume there's some other reason we don't have it, since it's not exactly a complicated metric to organize battles by. If STD-only IS more fun than a PRO battles, and everyone just played that mode in free fits, the economy falls apart. That, or it suggests balance doesn't persist past STD-level. I had a blast playing in standard gear vs standard gear. when we remove gear (and technically skills as well) advantage from the battlefield 3 factors become the most decisive in battle, player skill (how good each player is), position (map design etc), and tactics (making use of the map design for example). when one side has an ehp and dps advantage they tend to just blow through the opposition, creating a spawncamp where the losers just get frustated at dieing repeatedly and the winners get bored due to the fact that every enemy gets alpha'd out of existence the moment he spawns.

That might help a little......or not Im so going to enjoy running around on my alt in FW killing protoscrubs like yourself and getting myself killed by protoscrubs like yourself when I'm on your team, i've been waiting for friendly fire outside of PC for months just for this 1 reason ... and when you complain about people like me doing this and ruining FW for you I'll kindly refer you back yo this thread and the point you just made .. If I want to kill my own teammates and we end up loosing .. it's my choice .. so deal with it xD Some player actions ruin the game, just because you can do them doesn;t mean that you should do them .. ppl have been complaining more and more about protostomping because it's really hurting the game
