Just make my HMG good

They gave the AR a 2 meter range buff. OMG it's so fucking horrible isn't it. Also you're complaining that CCP is adding content which was supposed to be here a couple months after the release of uprising? Wow these forums are just fucking ridiculous.

Also just so you know the mass driver is a variant of AV weaponry, (Minmatars version) the plasma cannon and the laser rifle are both special weapons (Have no racial variants). Also the LR has a longer range then the AR even after the buff.

did they say that was the extent of the gun changes, or are you just a silly ass?

You were saying the AR outranges the LR not that it has a bigger optimal range. Get your facts straight.

Can people just shut the **** up when complaining about everything and anything that has to do with this game. Its like daily there's at least 7 different threads where people bitching about this games features and im tired of seeing these posts. If you don't like a feature or update of the game then **** off for a while and come back when they've released the following update. Better yet shut up complaining and actually play with one of the assault rifles, you might actually enjoy it.

The standard LR (Key word here is STANDARD since the range goes up through the tiers) has an optimal range from 66-85m while the Duvolle AR has 71 m EFFECTIVE RANGE meaning that at 71m the AR is only doing like 20% of it's full damage. Stop pulling shit out of your ass and give some real non biased information.

I have been assault since day 1, even during the reign of the Creodon AR and 'Whiplash' locus grenades (most closed beta vets remember these) andeven I have to admit that the heavy class gets sh!tted on the most. Ever since they nerfed them after Codex ( I believe that was that build's name), they have never been the same.

One racial suit to choose from? Only 2 heavy-specific weapons to choose from? CCP committed a HUGE injustice to that class, yet continues to keep "hush hush" about their intentions for that class. No amount of CPM and/or dev reply can justify the validity of that. Period.

If anything, instead of including more AR's, that patch should include the remaining racial heavy weapons at the least, follwed by the release of the remaining racial suits soon after. CCP needs to open their eyes on this. You have had patient heavies requesting something...ANYTHING in the form of a response as to why they haven't been implemented yet.

Yet nothing.

Priorities are set wrong and hopefully heavies get what they have been waiting so patiently for soon.

Oh and scouts are in the same position. Stop beefing up assaults, CCP and start catering towards your other classes, specifically heavy and scout. It's about time they got excited about SOMETHING.

What matters is whether the DPS matches up. From the front to middle of the Laser Rifle's optimal, the AR does comparable damage. The Laser out damages it if it manages to heat up, though. As a Laser Rifle user, I almost never die to other Laser Rifle users, even when I switch to Assault Rifles, because I know how they work. I just back up 5m and they go back to dealing 2 points of damage a shot.

I actually agree that CCP has prefference for assault rifles. And agree that they treat The HMG like he's adopted and rented out to the lowest bidder. There is something extremely wrong when 70% of the heavies out there are using some other form of non heavy weapon. 20% are using forge guns vs Vehicles and 10% are the actual hardcore HMG users who still have hope.


I stick to my plasma cannon. So balanced it will never get nerfed ;)
