From downtime Saturday to downtime Monday 4 matches per region will be available for the tournament teams. Each of these matches will be one of the four tournament maps with customised socket assignment. A few things to note: Matches will be configured to not give any ISK or salvage. All items will be lost as normal, so don't use anything you don't want to lose. Matches will also not have the 6v6 restriction and instead be 16v16 as the main purpose is to allow people to familiarise themselves with the new socket layouts. We will also not be enacting the vehicle restrictions in the practice matches. Teams may bring in people on the roster in the practice matches if they do not have opponents to test against. If a match is constantly full, send a tweet to @CCP_Logibro and we will look at spinning up a new match. This is not a guarantee that we will do this. All teams can access all region battles. However, I recommend that you stick to the region you are competing in. Clone count will be set to 150 for practice matches. Also, I think the Impact Ridge map is a little too big for a match with only twelve players and no vehicles. edit: So far I haven't run into any red dots. Is something wrong? I agree that it sucks that on at least some of the maps (I've only seen one map so far) the MCC is like 500m away from the objective. If we could use vehicles it wouldn't be such a big problem, but since we have to run it would make sense to use maps with the MCC being very close to the objective. The matches are mostly just for the teams to see and familiarize themselves with the maps, and not to get actual traning on the maps. Strange. I'll have to see what's happening there, shouldn't be an issue for the tournament as they go through a different method. As for the lack of enemies, the matches aren't really for practice so much as getting familiar with the new layouts (as Bendtner said) And these test matches will be only thing that people who didn't get their teams in by the 24th won't have access to. Everything else will be normal, and I am still working on getting overhead maps of the battlegrounds (the tools have been giving me some problems that I have to chat to some guys in Shanghai about.) With the number of extra people asking for more practice matches, I'll see if I can run some more during the week (and these will include people who signed up after the 24th.) Does anyone have preferences for what days you would like to have them run on? Also, today's battles are up now. Friendly fire and team select are now on. Team leaders should have received a message from ESL. Basically, send back a map, time, and who you want to fight (either another tournament team or a individual - the rest of the team will have to squad join) and we'll set up a match for you. If you need clarifications/have issues you can poke me on IRC when I'm awake. Take note that not all hours will be available, so sending in multiple times we can pick from would be preferable.
