Any chance, for example Amarr players could get a slight discount (5%) on Amarr equipment?.
It might give players some incentive to use equipment, vehicles from their race.
I'm also trying to picture FW battles in the future, where the battles for each race might by fought by nothing but players with equipment from that race.
Would be kind of cool to see an all-caldari team fight an all-gallente team in FW.

race is purely for rp...and lorewise it doesn't make sense since regardless of our race we have no loyalties to anyone but whom we choose.
this is what LP are for and I believe they are adding it... |

Race isn't only RP, Amarr Assault has a bonus for laser weapons and all laser weapons are Amarr. That's just an example.
Also you can choose to remain loyal. It actually does make sense that a race's dropsuit would be better for holding a race's gear because they have the same designers and are thus more compatible. |

I don't know if race matters that much. Its not like only germans can drive porsches well, you know. I think when they implement the LP store for dust your concerns will be met. They could introduce new faction weapons that can only be bought with LP and those people could sell them once the next market is ib. |

The race of your character doesn't matter, which is what the OP is talking about. Your example is the race of the suit, which does matter for the reasons you listed.
Besides, discounts for stuff won't work in a player driven market anyways. |

Except that the DUST market isn't player driven at all... Meh, not a huge deal or anything, just thought you might get a discount for buying racial equipment, which you are using to fight for that race.
