You know, i'm not totally against respecs, but for the months and months people have been crying for them (and that's just since I started playing), they could have made a new character and speced into what they wanted by now. So do people who want repecs just stop spending SP? Y'all know there is no cap on total SP right? If there is, the cap is however much SP it takes to skill into and max out everything.
I understand and accept that if they alter the skill tree, respecs in some form should be given to those effected by the change. If you want a respect simply for the sake of getting a respect, at what point do you stop spending your SP stupidly? And who else will join me in a good laugh once they have offered a last respect, and people start asking for them again? |

What's the current FOTM? I haven't been killed by any "new" dropsuit more than usual.
Or is it a FOTM weapon? ScR and Lasers seem to be making a comeback - are you referring to those?
How much SP does it take to get a weapon to proto again - 620k and change? How long does it take you to make that much?

Swarms for example are pretty OP against tanks(Or so i heard) now they are getting nerfed. Respec new FOTM or new AR.
And that "training into proto does not take long is a good point." Just train into your next proto suit instead of crying for a respec. |

Assuming you hit the weekly active cap, have passive gain turned on, and NO boosters fitted...
About 171,000 passive SP gain per week. 190,000 active SP per weekly cap. Total: 361,000 SP
About two weeks. |

Ok, look, since so many people want respecs-
I was suppose to keep this on the down low, but I know a guy that can hook you up with respecs. Just send 10 million ISK to my character (Dunk Mujunk), then meet me at objective B on the Fracture Road map, and we will get you hooked up......... |

Everything about the idea makes sense and would help fight boredom at higher levels. The concern about FOTM is not valid, these FOTM issues are balance issues and that can still be used, made, and abused without the repsec. The only difference the respec makes is that it brings to light what these balance issues are sooner as they instantly become the next FOTM. If anything charging the playerbase $ to make these type of theorycrafting FOTM month choices would bring to light needed balance changes faster. There is no downside, if its offered as an option and for the next six months everyone pays cash to respec and the new out of balance FOTM is figured out each month and adjusted we would probably be in a better position than we are now. |

I like the Aurum respec concept and I absolutely get the FOTM concerns.
Couple thoughts: 1) Offer respecs for Aurum (about 30-40K?) but have a 3 month cooldown timer. That way you can only respec every 90days.
2) Ref. the FOTM issues...there will always be this issue and it does self correct or draw attention from the Devs eventually. How many Core Flaylock guys are going 20 and 5 recently? Not many. Doesn't mean this isn't a valid concern, just one that the community and Devs actually know how to deal with. |

Hm, I guess I'm in the minority then because with my boosters I can get around 850-1 mil SP per week (if I really grind it out). Made a mil last week. So yeah, looking forward to my second proto suit in two weeks ;) |
