Disclaimer: I don't use fittings such as these, this goes especially for the tryhard logi fit. I have tried to make them as similar as I can in terms of weaponry, DPS, equipment and general setup. I've started with the typical "Cal logi played as assault tryhard fitting", that many butthurt forumites have been complaing about for a long time, I've then made a Cal assault fit as similar as I can so we can compare the two with actual stats.
Fittings: Ass. Log. %
Duvolle 1 1 Core Locus nades 3 3 Complex damage mods 2 2 Complex shield extenders 2 3 Basic armor plates 2 4 Basic CPU uppgrade 1 Comapct Nanohive 3 Allotec Nanohive (R) 1 Toxin SMG 1
Where the Logi suit is best:
Total HP 759 929 1,22 Armor 337 486 1,44 Shields 422 443 1,05 Passive armor regen No 5
- Comments: - One of the most versatile suits in the game, can be used to do everything from speed shotfun (9,25 speed and 253 stamina, 26 in recovery) to super tanked (1074 HP with the above fitting swapping dmg mods for shields) and its probably the best suit in the game for E-war, and lots of other things - Not as good for "traditional logi role" as the other 3 suits - More or less useless racial bonus, + 10 % effectivity to shield regulators, really? - Limited in terms of viable variations in weaponry due to lack of sidarm
Where the assault is best: Stamina 157,5 120.8 1,30 Stamina recovery 15,8 12,6 1,25 Move speed 4,81 4,45 1,08 Run speed 7,08 6,54 1,08 Shield recharge rate 31,25 20 1,56 from 0 - 422 (+ 5 ass, +6 log depleted) 18,5 sec 27,1 sec 1,46
-Comments: - This suit is fast in so many ways, thats why I like it. An alternate fit can have 486 shileds and 150 armor, 2.5 in armor regen and it will get all its shields back in 12,7 (14,9) seconds, which is great for a bunny hopping masshole drunk night, and; - Its got excellent all round performance for aggressive slayer playstyles mostly due to its dps/ehp/rapid recharge combo which makes it "faster in a hectic frontline environment" compared to the armor based assault suits. - Perhaps the best light suit for AV? (I dunno) with the incoming swarm lock-on range nerf perhaps speed will be important again, and it can be speeded up and still be combat effective. -The Logi suit is brilliant for CBs as it combines decent combat efficiency with decent support elements, like a BMW "Not best at sports or comfort", but perhaps the best combo of the two.
General comments: - I don't think that the fact of the assaul suit having a sidearm should be taken too lightly - The Allotek hives vs 3 compact hives is a winner for the assault IMO, even though the compact hives recharge health faster (50 compact, 40 allotek) and ammo (75, 45), the allotek has 3,5 times the radius of the very small compact hives, and is therefore better in a pressed situation, you can also put down 2 that gives you 80 Hp back in a really tight situation, this you can't do with the compacts. - "The best and most versatile Cal Logi PC fitting" that some of you have faced in CBs the last 6 months or so uses 205 CPU and 39 PG for equipment, this to compensate for its lack of a 4th equiment slot. It looses 187 armor (which gives it 17 less HP than the abve mentioned assault fit) , gains a slight speed boost and has to use one complex CPU and an enhanced PG to mke it as best as I can for CBs. - The Logi suit requires more skillpoints to function as the "assultlogi combo suit its supposed to be (IMO) - A cal assault should do noticably better in ters of ills and kdr to justify itsprecense in PC compared to a cal logi.
