So, every time the AV/Vehicle debate arises, one of the first things said involves people on top of towers using Forges and Swarms to kill tanks. Heck, with the announced changes, people are happy that people won't sit on top of towers spamming Swarms. I'm an AV-er, tanking is not in my blood, so, ***** away tankers.
Why not Nerf the sky? Make a vertical redline... Infantry can't pass this elevation without getting the warning message. Allow drop ships to pass this line, however. Not tanks, no tower sniping for you either. I mean, if the towers are the death of vehicles, make them a non-factor, except for being a barrier to retreat behind? This is doable, look at Battlefield. I know this is CCP but I'm sure someone could work on something like this. |

Take away rooftops and it won't just be vehicles pilots who will cry. I've seen many militia dropships flown only to crash onto a nice comfy roof for uplinks to spawn in a full squad of mass driver users. |

Vertical redline which kills everything which isnt supposed to be up ther apart from a DS
It means no tower campers so no FG/swarms so no complete area denial from one point
Play PC, all tactics are the same, get a FG on the highest point on the map
Could work but some maps have terrain which is equal to the highest point of a tower so that would mean going to the top of a hill would be a redline also if its up above a certain height |

I disagree there aren't enough people who say, "Hey we need a sniper to kill forge gunners" in PC... |

A FG is better, lots of splash, direct hit is a kill and can deal with vehicles |
