Is it me or did CCP just do away with the sniper rifle.
CCP said and I quote "railgun tech and are therefore the longest range weapons in the game, followed by laser weapons"
I love my sniper rifle and have spent a lot of SP to make it work. All I am asking is, if CCP does do away with the sniper rifle is for them to give me my SP back so I can spec into the railgun.
I have now joined the ranks of those who wish to have there SP refunded and tankers you may want to get inline as well. |

Read the new post by CCP on weapons and ranges. It clearly says, the rail gun is soon to be the longest range weapon in the game. |

"Longest range [of the damage types.]" They weren't talking about "of all the weapons," it just means for weapons of similar class (the infantry rifle, in this case), it will out range lasers, projectile, and hybrid weapons. You're sniper is fine.
Thats not what they said it says and I quote. "As a part of their introduction to the game we also plan to rejig the rifle range profiles in line with the weapon type. Rail Rifles are hybrid GÇô railgun tech and are therefore the longest range weapons in the game, followed by laser weapons, projectile weapons and then hybrid GÇô blaster weapons
If this is just for assault rifles, that is fine. But it needs to be clarified by CCP. Just going off of what they wrote. |

It is talking about its damage type not the weapon itself.
Also the current sniper rifle is railgun tech.
CCP said it is soon to be the longest range weapon in the game. That means it will out range or replace the sniper rifle. That is what I am getting from CCP. |

Also guys if the rail rifle is the sniper rifle than why does it have Iron sights. Also the effective range is only going to be 102 and the ScR is 90 and the AR is 78 how the F*** is the rail gun a sniper rifle.
Just please break it down barney style, because I am not getting where any of this says the rail gun is a sniper rifle. The rail gun is replacing the sniper rifle for CCP said it will be the longest range weapon in the game. |
