So I finally finished out System Hacking 5. 777k sp for that last 5% took forever to look appealing enough.
The video shows hack speeds for No skills (with an alt), Mini Logi 5 with system 5 no mods, and finally 1 - 4 Complex breakers.
I can't get the stacking Math to work out with what I am seeing. Any math pros care to chime in on what the actual stacking penalties are?
Feel free to challenge the times I am saying. I used the video editor and moved forward frame by frame starting from when the hack circle with a lock in it appeared to when the 'Hack' dialog appeared. Times were too close to use a stop watch. But if someone has a better way I'd love to hear it.
I thought about using Tempo. There are exactly 26 beeps no matter what the speed is, so adding skill just increases the tempo. The video was all shot in one take then clipped down, so the frame rate is as constant as it can get I guess.

Regular: 10 seconds
Minmatar Logi 5 Hacking 5: 10 * 0.75 * 0.75 = 5.625 seconds
With 1 Complex: 5.625 * 0.75 = 4.21827 seconds
With 2 Complex: 4.21827 * (100 - (25 * 0.87)) * .01 = 3.3 seconds
And I'm not sure what the stacking penalty for a third module is. Anyways, this is pretty close to your estimations from the video. And if anyone is confused with why I did what I did for that 2nd complex I'll try to explain it better.

That looks good. Each time is less that 2 tenths of a second off from all but 1 time that I claimed. I went back to the source and looked a little closer. The "Hack" dialog came up between 4.3 and 4.4 seconds moving frame by frame. The actual Hack may not begin until 1 tenth of a second after the Hack circle with the lock in it appears.
I didn't think to take the second skill bonus from the remainder of the time after applying the first.

Off topic, but your talking a standard suite I guess for only having two low slots? WTF are you fitting that is spiking your CPU so High that you need a CPU mod on a STD suite? |
