Read this entirely. Stop saying ideas one by one without why or how.....
What i say got sense i explain why it should be done. I'd rather get restricted to sidearms than deal with that convoluted fitting system. |

I know, but HP or slot removal will just make us grenade or sniper fodder, trust me I don't want sidearms only but it seems to be better than HP or slot nerf and iv not seen any other proposals worth remembering. I like to run around with an assault SMG from time to time. It doesn't mean I should have to. |

INFINITE DIVERSITY IDIC wrote:TechMechMeds wrote:INFINITE DIVERSITY IDIC wrote:VikingKong iBUN wrote:give logis less module slots than assaults problem solved Look if they want to change all logi suits to make it better reflect its role im ok with that, just know skilled killers will still be just that, and if your not one now......... Taking Jordans Nikes away wouldnt have kept him from going to the hole. And making me spec into the new best suit to kill you with wont stop you from dying. Bottom line is for all around play logi is the best suit out there and any idiot can see why, the problem is all the idiots that couldnt see why seem to have alot of time to type. Whos fault is it you picked a bad suit for your playstyle? This is why I'm fine with sidearm only rather than HP or slot nerf, my amarr logi would still be a combat oriented logi because I'd carry two smgs and I am worried about a nerf, so I'm pushing sidearm only because iv seen no other alternatives but slot or HP nerf, I'm asking for a small nerf to avoid a big one, I also propose assault lose their equipment slot so both are dependant on each other but assault would need a damage buff if that was the case. Ill live with whatever the idiots at ccp do, but let me be clear, I support NO NERFS ever of any kind, this game has gone in damn circles since ive been playing it with nerfs and buffs and ultimately whats called balancing is simply response to crying, like a mother picking up her baby to put it on the tit when it cries, eventually you have to put it down and eventually it will cry again, until it, GROWS UP, gets a pair and learns how to shoot. The reason these posts exist is because so many of you simply suck at this game, I know I know you never died in Eve, flying around in your ship mining ore, look for little space boys to abduct. Heres a great solution, look in the mirror and ask yourself, am I over 30? If the answer is yes and your on here crying about logis understand the problem is you, this game requires more reflex than you developed jumping around on mushrooms with mario and his green gay lover, and btw if your girlfriend isnt home occasionally salvaging your ship for you, and you dont know what muscles the incline bench vs decline work, you probably are not, working with alot in the way of testosterone, you might try and see if that helps your gun game, bring that fast twitch muscle fiber online........... There used to be more to gunplay in a FPS than good reflexes. Instant gratification and a certain FPS franchise spoiling younger gamers made everything all... casual. |

TechMechMeds wrote:^ totally agreed. Everything that made this game a good FPS has been stripped away by this casual mentality to the point that the core mechanics don't even accommodate what was supposed to make Dust different in the first place. At this rate, the damn game is going to wind up turn based. |

Bojo The Mighty wrote:Don't even try and deny the fact that the *modern* logistic suits are not conformist to their role. There is nothing in place preventing people from making super tank max damage suits, basically an assault suit that caters to a stronger flavor (a flavor where instead of versatile arms, a super strong single weapon)
There is nothing in place really stopping the Logistic SUIT from being a slayer suit rather than, well, a logistics role. The LLAV prevents people from having a super tanked-super damaging LAV, they got a damage nerf. They can still bring out any weapon an assault can, just not a sidearm with it. When you build a suit with high HP, innate armor repair, and damage mods you defeat the reward of a sidearm (unless maybe you have strong sidearm fu like the minmatar assaults) and moved ahead of assaults in slayer capabilities.
Really the role should match the suit.
People have told scouts that they shouldn't be running Frontline and stop asking for buffs. But no one's asked the Logis to stop playing assault until now? Seems mildly hypocritical; beat one frame back with remarks of staying within one's niche and then protesting that if a logistics outperforms assaults it's the assault's fault not the lack of limitations on a safety suit? The problem here is that you have people who don't play a role telling another role what they should are shouldn't be doing. You have to remember that first and foremost, Dust is an FPS and in FPS we kill people. There's no Geneva convention to prevent someone from shooting at a logistics, at some point you;re going to have to defend yourself whether you like it or not. We all have guns, and we all kill people in one way or another while our "designed" role comes secondary because this game is an FPS first and an RPG second. And to stop any speculation, I've been a Minmatar logi since Chromosome. I support by repairing, rezing, resupplying and rallying my team and shooting at reds when they don't need the previous. |
