I assume the inspiration for the Domination game mode is "King Of The Hill" right ? The idea is good, the execution is poor..
It should be an AREA to defend or attack, not a null cannon that creates a bottleneck situation. A bit like a red-line that the other team have to try to Dominate, and then defend it. Ambush... but with a "control zone". |

Like, who has more guys inside the zone, controls it right now. 2 timers running down.
Would be more action and snipers would suck there. |

Agreed. A king of the hill map makes for much more interesting tactics than domination. Maybe even make it so that no uplinks are allowed in the control zone? Although maybe not, it depends on the size.
With the current domination, let's be honest CCP, it's something that was thought up in about 10 minutes and then crammed in to make it look like we have a new game mode. It's skirmish with only one letter. Let's not bullshit here, there was no creativity.
King of the hill is far more entertaining, when you are defending hordes of enemies over a wide radius, rather than playing the game of "who can spam the most uplinks" or "Who has the most explosive weaponry".
The control zone could even move throughout the map to make for more dynamic gameplay, where the entire battlefield shifts, and it's a race to see who can get to the next point first. Doesn't that sound much more entertaining that what we currently have, AKA:
"ok guys, let's go to Alpha." "We got it, what now" "Um, secure the high buildings I guess, get some forge guns up there" "Cool, done. Anything else we can do" "Not really, from here on our it is just ambush" "oh." |

one control zone, 2 timers running down for a launch of a big, game ending laser (each 10 mins) supply depot, installations and CRU only outside the zone |

Yeah.. that is how "traditionally" King Of The Hill is, but i suppose CCP could try to add a unique feature to it... by creating a red-line that goes green as the attacking team pushes forwards. |

Just made me think of a new game mode, something similar. It is using the idea of red-lines. Perhaps two teams are fighting head to head trying to push eachother back, the furhter a team goes back the further the redline comes forward meaning they cannot push back again. This would mean there would be clear cut attack and defense teams. One team starts off with all points on the map, and the enemy push forward to take them. Once the enemy take objectives the red-line comes with them, meaning the defending team cannot retake the objective.
It's a bit creased at the moment and the idea is fresh in my mind, needs some ironing out. |

Yeah.. i was thinking something similar... it will definitely be more "Domination" like. basically ... "Dominating the other team." |

Except that i won't start with a team controlling the full map.... i will put the red-line in the MIDDLE of the map. 50/50 at the start. |

I like the idea of dynamic red lines. I guess each team has to dominate the objective for some time say 4 minutes and hack attempts reset the timer so there is an actual chance to keep the battle going. The winner controls 2 out of three cannons, destroys the enemy MCC or clones them first.

the last time i did a king of the hill scenario was before uprising and on the map (can't remember which map it was) we had a CRU on a raised platform with two stairs on both sides and the reds were rushing up to take it over, i went 36-5 as a heavy and had enough WP by myself for a orbital strike, my squad had enough WP for 3 orbital strikes in the end. |

I like the idea.. Reminds me of what CCP is doing with the updates/new contents... pushed back. |

That is call "CRU camping" ....in a King Of The Hill scenario the AREA is normally a lot bigger... so THAT doesn't happens. |
