1. As a heavy even in prime conditions (a) being crouched out of direct line of sight and guarding a narrow hall or entrance is about the only way I can find usefulness of anything to do with the HMG or the basic heavy Suit since i'm lvl 2 i was about to commit total Retardation by selecting lvl 3 heavy upgrade for the cool sounding COMMANDO SUIT>...<
Not funny Do you as the Devs know heavy's i personally thought should at least be able to hold their ground against mediums & lights in close quarters haha well I got news for you not if your carrying a HMG and not crouching... Because that spit ball slinger couldn't hit a cow if its not standing still & i bet not in the same place twice with 425 rounds then.
2. I know you can say you are a noob it happens like this till you get better all you want. i got knifed in a heavy.. Thats just wrong that should be like trying to stick a butcher knife through just 1 plat of current NATO stand issue Kevlar 1 front or back plate carried current & mainly by us army infantry see how that works out..
3. I have played many rounds of factions & Public I gotta say first to hell with *fused locust grenades* as well as most proto gear i think.. I get greased bye so many people with golden stamped weapons & suits i lost count of which about it i dislike the most the fact those armors as a newer free player even in heavy crouched "milita naded "them kicked spit punched begged them to die... i wonn't even tell you how that turned it till we all have a laugh together about how my next point. in hand...
4. Golden guns backed by the situation with the guys or girls above. Their weapons assault rifles 2 or 3 shots clone down...Even facing off 1 vs 1 is conditions prime in my favor crouched narrow area its almost always suicide not that the same out come wouldn't happen when facing another player sporting double gold not matter what weapon or suit but a golden assault rifle you can wipe out an entire squad with even if you wore it with militia armor suits i mean the silver Gek are nasty creatures but wow.. common man & i won't even bother saying thing other then Duval that speaks for its self.
5 And LaST some of these tanks & vehicles can't be killed and the ones that keep running in & out of the red line. Really Really how the heck do you grease those guys with a forge gun team with lots of nanito or something like that producing lots of ammo How do you deal with that?
1. The Heavy is definitely under powered. I die to them occasionally, but cannot remember the last time I died to one outside of 10m. The rounds fly in all directions other than the target while you get gunned down. I usually die within those 10m with my SMG against a HMG, but anything beyond that is a 50/50 chance of victory for me.
The Commando suit isn't very useful. Mediocre health, slow and with no slots/two slots for modules.
2. Knives can go through Kevlar. Obviously, a Heavy has plating but the enemy used Nova Knives, which are not butcher knives. Knives are hard to use effectively and are thus not seen much. I've died only a handful of times to knives and all of them were from behind, where any sidearm could've killed me. Most knife users stack on knife damage modifiers, which means they have little to no room for speed boosters or armor.
Its name derives from the heated plasma edge of the blade - formed by a thermic igniter and linear gravity condenser - that, in skilled hands, can be used to carve through even the thickest dropsuit armour. GÇô CCP.
3. Proto gear is pretty powerful, especially when coupled with all the core skills proto users have usually built up. Grenades tear through Heavies like a hot knife through butter since they move too slowly to really evade them and explosives do more damage to armor.
4. The Duvolle only does 10% more damage than the normal Assault Rifle. However, Duvolle players usually have proto (or gold, as you call them) damage modifiers and damage boosting proficiency skills. After everything, they can easily deal 50% more damage than a normal Assault Rifle user. It takes less than two seconds to kill a militia Heavy at that point. Even faster with headshots.
5. Vehicles are hit and miss. If no one uses Swarm Launchers and Forge guns, it'll live forever. If one of two guys pull out said weapons with some SP behind them, they can take out most vehicles extremely quickly. Beginner players don't spec into AV because they want to spec into normal weapons, so vehicles are pretty deadly in public games.
All in all, I'd say take a break from the game while logging in every day and come back in two or three weeks. You'll have built up another 500k SP and you can spec into something else. Go with either Assault or Logistics suits. Once you're in a standard racial suit, I'd work on getting Handheld Weapon Upgrades 3 so you can use Enhanced Damage Mods. Use militia shield extenders until then. Two of those is almost a 10% damage boost. Fill the rest of your slots with normal armor plating. If you can't fit it, upgrade the core skills that say they increase suit CPU or PG by 5% until you can. Work on the core skills you think you'll need and coast to advanced suits.
For equipment, I recommend Compact Nanohives, which require Nanocircuitry 2. Cheap to buy, cheap to fit and can heal your armor if you place one at your feet. Flee often and heal for a long life. |
