I've been thinking a lot about equipment and want to give a shout-out to some of my most trusted, and most used equipment that has helped me get those warpoints that I couldn't get otherwise.
Below is a list of the best equipment from each category (my opinion of course). ____________________
Nanohives
Allotek Nanohive (R) -Not only does it give you ammo at the same speed of a k-2, but it reps your armor for 40/sec. That's like having a self repair tool. You also get three of them (two deployed at a time) for a maximum of 80 hp/s when you're in a pinch.
Runner up: X-3 Quantum Nanohive -Don't mix this up with the Guaged nanohive (3 deployed, max 4), this is the one I use on my mass driver fittings. It gives 5 rounds/cluster, and lasts just as long as a k-2 for only 7 more cpu (I think). ____________________
Injectors
Nanite injector (std variant) -The easiest equipment to fit on a suit, only costing 11 cpu and 2 pg with max nanocircuitry, it usually replaces my grenade slot when I have no other option. ____________________
Repair tools
Core Repair Tool -Boasting an incredible 105 hp/s, this thing earns wp like crazy. The only downside is that you have to be really close to the user for it to be effective. Most caldari suits take only 1 second to completely repair, while heavy suits can be supercharged in no time at all. The fitting cost is about the same as a complex shield extender, but the isk cost might be a turn off for some users.
Runner up: BDR-8 Triage Repair Tool -The adv level triage nanohive only reps 3hp/s slower than its prototype counterpart (41 vs 44), for about 7k less isk, and one less beam (really, the dual-beam system isn't that more effective than one beam). The best tool for the costs of both fitting and purchasing. ____________________
Uplinks
Allotek Stable Uplink -This is by far the best uplink for your fitting costs. For a bit more isk than a proto variant, it only costs the same fitting requirements as the ADV tiers. It has 3 uplinks, two that can be deployed, and I believe a -50% spawn time reduction (better than the ADV flux, which costs the same fitting and only gives -35%). If you have the extra isk, and the skills to use them, don't ever use anything else (unless you're like me and would rather save cpu/pg by using the STD stable uplink)
Runner up: _______ Guaged Uplink (Prototype variant, I forgot the name) -The biggest problem with uplinks is that if one of them is destroyed, you have to put another one down somewhere, or spawn back into your uplink fit to drop another one. The basic nanohives only let you have 1 active, while both adv and proto let you have two. This is the only uplink that not only gives you 3 uplinks, but allows all of them to be deployed at the same time. Popular with spammers, it is by far the best for making sure your allies will always have an uplink to spawn on (guaranteed you hide them properly) ____________________
Scanners
________ Quantum Active Scanner (Prototype variant, forgot the name for this one too) -Scans last for 25 seconds. The thing recharges in what seems like 10 seconds, same stats as the regular one, can reveal all but the most dedicated dampeners, only costs 10 more cpu than the ADV.
Runner up: ADV quantum scanner (again I'm bad with names) -If you're using any other scanner besides the quantum you're doing it wrong. Not having to scan every few seconds is nice. ____________________
REs/PMs
I can't say anything about these because I don't use them enough, and because they don't have any variants or anything that makes one specific one better. The higher tiers are better than the lower ones. Simple as that. I can say that the prototype ones are DEVASTATING in the right hands though |
