I never partook in the short sighted chase of FotM; I maxed dropsuit core upgrades, galente logi, minmatar logi, MD lvl 5 and then started on logi lav and DS. I live by the "live with your consequences" nature of EVE unlike most of the softcocks in these forums who are crying for a 2nd chance now that their crutches got nerfed.

A simple login screen saying 'We've released the Minmatar Heavy today, would you like your Amarr Heavy points re-assigned to the Minmatar one' ... I'd even be happy if they allowed swapping weapon skills for the new ones, within the same type at least.

I've posted this quite a lot in various respec threads ... I've also got a funny suspicion someone at CCP monitors my posts since a lot of the ideas I've put out there have been implemented over the 18 months or so. They're usually good ideas and they (CCP) usually notice them, especially when people are agreeing, thanks.

The vast majority of players don't chase FotM It's a myth propagated by a few players on this forum. Percent wise it's a very small number of players who specifically skill into things because they're "OP" or "FotM" There are no informed decisions when core skills are being removed, added, and altered. These aren't additions, they're base, core things.

I guarantee most who picked the flaylock still would have picked it with current stats. And the proto is still a great weapon. And again, it's a small percent of players, we just have a tiny playerbase and a much smaller sample size playing PC, where the problem was most obvious.

I'd probably take the sp out of Sniper Rifle II, but that's helpful for using Basic Tactical Sniper Rifles. But overall, I've been fairly deliberate in my sp placement, since I normally use an alt to test out new things I may want to try. I can test out a Scrambler Rifle on my alt, for example, and then if I like it, I'll skill in to the Basic or even Advanced level on Vespa.

Probably also would take the points scattered around light weaponry and dump them into the SMG. Everything else I would keep the same. I like being a logi.
