In my video, I briefly show that the nanocircuitry skill does not state that it gives a bonus, yet there clearly is on.
I have level 5 nanocircuity, and the amount of reduction in cpu is exactly 25% for both nanohives and nanite injectors.
The easiest way to test this yourself is to go get a militia nanite injector, equip it to a blank suit, and compare your skill level. Each level should decrease the cpu by 1 EXACTLY for a maximum of 5. If you have circuitry 3, the militia injector will only cost 17 cpu.
I then go on to show that the uplinks, scanners, and repair tools don't have this bonus for their respective skill. At the end of the video, I prove this by showing that I have level 5 uplink and level 5 repair tool, as well as level 3 scanner.
This is also not a logi bonus, as I can equip them to an assault suit and get the same effect.
The reason why I know it's the nanocircuitry skill doing this is because it affects ONLY the nanite injectors and nanohives. ______________________
Questions:
Why is the bonus not in the description? Why are there not bonuses like this for ALL equipment skills? Is this a mistake or something that was overlooked? |

Thank you for making this more clear.
Problems still exsist though:
-Description needs to be updated to make the bonus visible (If I had known about this bonus I would have skilled into nanocircuitry FIRST not last). If the last time it was brought up was in JUNE, then obviously this needs to be made visible again, and a fix is long past due for this. How hard is it to add some words to a description? -It's inconsistent with the other equipment (If one skill is going to provide a bonus, EVERY skill should provide a bonus. Even if this means that the nanocircuitry skill bonus would be reduced to balance this. Every weapon and almost every module has a bonus on the skill that lets them unlock higher tiers, why not equipment?). |

It has been an INTENDED feature since before uprising. Pretty sure that they just forgot to put the 5% bonus into the description...as it's in the market description for the skillbook.
What we need to do is convince CCP that all equipment needs a bonus, not just nanohives and injectors |

I thought I remember reading a few updates back that they were removing these passive skills in favor of just unlocking new Meta levels. I agree. All equipment skills should reduce fitting skills too.
What they really want to do is add bonuses to the equipment use themselves (scanner displays would last longer, nanohives would have more clusters, repair tools would rep faster, uplinks have faster spawns, etc) by putting these bonuses on the logi dropsuits.
I would rather just see these kinds of bonuses on the skills themselves, and maybe even introduce a prociency skill and fitting optimization skill for each equipment too. |
