Yeah, I have been screaming for Race change for a while now. Never once as a blue tag posted on a thread of this sort. Don't see how hard it could be for a one time change with ISK or Aurum.

When I first started playing dust I was a lore ****** and chose the Gallente, it really didn't matter to me. Then I started playing EVE and reading the books, and slowly began to hate the hypocritical "freedom" loving swine that the Gallente really are. Not to mention their design style is terrible. So....... Could we possibly have a race respec? Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase?

A race respec would make sense, given that race means almost nothing in Dust so far (and ethnic groups therein mean even less. Can anyone tell I'm a Ni Kunni? Anyone?).

There is a precedent of sorts in EVE. Remember when they made more skin tones available for the creator, and everyone got a free resculpt in case they always wanted to be a jet Sebiestor?

If race will ever matter in Dust (even if it ends up being purely cosmetic), it'd make sense to allow people to switch it now, before it's all set.

It's really not even cosmetic for me, it's the principal of the thing. Could you imagine how hard it must be for a Gallentean born child to attend and graduate from the State War Academy?

This has been discussed in very old days. In the land before Caldari Logis.

The answer is no.

Just as in life, you can't change your race but your race doesn't have to determine who you are.

Both my Gallente and Amarr Characters go against the Primary governance of each of those two factions while my Minmatar Character and Caldari fit in line pretty well with the culture.

I worked my Character around the Faults of the Gallente Federation. Being part of a cannon organisation that seeks to change the Federation and awaken it's citizens. It's a lot more fun when you realize your characters race doesn't have an impact on the individual.


I had an Amarrian Character in EVE but Amarr did no fit my gameplay style at all still doesn't in DUST.

Nevertheless, real men armor tank.
