I personally like the idea of being able to pay for this kind of stuffs. However I would think that the armor customizations wuold only be able to do "pre-designed" or "predesignated" things for in match play. Why? Because each client has to know how to render all that stuff for you to see it on your side of things. So all the looks of the armors, tanks, guns, etc are already pre-loaded into your console when you get updates. Your personal design that you might make for your toon would have to be uploaded to the server and then the server would have to tell all the other consoles in your match how to render your changes for everyone else to see them. Multiply this by every single person doing it for every single piece of equipment and vehicle and you start to see the problems this would cause in lag etc.
Now there are two possible solutions for this. Any customizable change you make is only seen by you on your end on your console. To everyone else it just renders the normal you as you were before. While it looks great on your end, you won't be able to share it at all with you friends and enemies.
Second option, you get these customization for your toon to display when you are in your merc quarters, war barge, and anywhere else that is not a battle. Now you can share somewhat (only on the barge before a match now) with your friends etc. But the real pay-off for this won't happen until they finish the "Walking In Stations" concept which is no longer on any road-maps for the development of EVE online due to this:

So for now, the most one could expect is to be able to buy "pre-designed" skins that would be pre-loaded to all clients in some patch. In this instance you would be purchasing the skin for your armor or vehicle that would convert it to be styled like that of a specific militia or NPC faction from EVE online. The problem is that CCP is probably trying to reserve some of that stuff for some not so far off day when they envision DUST mercs trying to work for a specific NPC faction and then being rewarded with this thing so other know what that merc did.
As for corp logo's... this could be possible, but require constant updating. Basically, you create your logo, it is submitted to CCP, CCP then includes it in the next patch (could be months later) and then it becomes rendered for all to see at that point on.
