Well, Heavies have their Equipment slot taken away for a reason. Allowing one to put equipment, even at the cost of a grenade, would lead to balance issues. |

I don't think this would be OP because non Logi suits still have lower pg and cpu, meaning you would likely have to sacrifice something else as well to fit 2 items of equip. An alternative could be allowing equipment or grenades in either slot...what do you think, too OP? Yeah because NOONE would use a proto gallente logi and nuke every single tank throwing 15 grenades for more than 20k damage. Once again (sigh), I've already stated I want the equip, NOT the grenade. I'll stipulate to the dangers of multiple grenade slots. DOES ANYONE WANT TO WEIGH IN ON THAT PORTION OF THE IDEA OR WOULD YOU LIKE TO KEEP REPEATING EACH OTHER? My opinion. |

I do apologize for ignoring your post, I was actually wondering what the reason is though, because no matter what equipment, I don't see it being too OP. Seriously, could you explain. Prototype Forge Gun on a high roof+Complex Nanohive, they would be able to sit up there for a long time being silly without needing to hop down and get some ammo. However, teamwork, or even another suit, would accomplish the same thing, and often does now.
I feel that keeping the suits as is would help to differentiate the roles and help promote teamwork.

Very good points, I guess the problem is I came at it from the standpoint of wanting to be able to run a nanohive and a scanner on my scout. I do think that the FG in your scenario can still be overcome by the aforementioned teamwork though. As far as a FG goes, do you happen to know the depletion rate for the nanohive supplying it? I just ask because I know grenades deplete a hive quickly, is the same true of large munitions and energy weapons? I do not. And as for the mulit-equipment Scout, there is a possibility that one of the other racial variants will have multiple equipment slots at the cost of a sidearm, or something along those lines. |
