Hello,
As some of you might know I love the plasma cannon but I've noticed something a bit different with it. I Can't destroy installations in three shots anymore.
A couple of days Ago I could destroy installations in three shots and Now it takes me 4 shots with the same fit.. It leads me to believe that maybe something is up with the weapon. Anyways it's a bit noticeable against infantry also. They have been taking consistently less damage. And I'm talking about two or three days since my last video.
CCP should look into this. My weapon takes 4 seconds in between each shot ;3.5 reload and .45 seconds to charge = 3.95 seconds plus add a small delay after the shot is fired because of the animation and you might as well make it 5 seconds; anyways the thing is there is a difference and I think it's not just me because I was just squading with someone from Cannon Fever and he said he was having an "off day" day also.
I'm not saying something is definitely broken but it feels sort of off.
CCP / CPM / PLASMA CANNON GODS please reply.

I'm going to test it with my fits after downtime. It used to take me 4 (no Proficiency/Damage Mods) to take one out. I checked the damage on the Cannon itself and it doesn't seem to be any different. Maybe they made Installations even more ridiculous? |

It could be some glitch I don't know but with a KLA-90 and 2 complex damage mods and proficiency 4 it takes me 3 shots.
I'm not saying the stats changed, I know they did not but it could be the way the damage is handled. I'm not completely sure but it seems off. I've been having the feeling all day and when you said you where having an off day I took that as a sign to maybe get someone to investigate. |

I've been having more shots "phantom" through people lately as well. And I don't fully understand how damage gets handled in this game, especially splash damage (is there different types?). We'll just have to run some tests and figure out for CCP. Do we get DEV credit in the credits if we find bugs? We should, damnit. |

Something one or two of my corp mates have noticed as well, when you play with a particular weapon for a while the damage does seem to drop off? |

I doubt it could be something like that. If it was that, the damage for the AR would be .000012 per bullet right now. Which I'd be ok with. |

I haven't been playing in a few days, but 3 shots with KLA-90 + prof 4 leaves around 400 armor on installations (395 or so?). So with 2 complex damage mods on top of it they should blow up in 3 shots. Might have to log in today to test what's up. |

My set-up was doing it in 4 shots, as normal, but there seemed to be more HP left on it than normal. Maybe they gave more resist to installations? Or they jacked us for running a 6 man Plasma Cannon Terror Squads. |

Plasma cannon has 110% damage to shields / 90% damage to armor

could be that you are shooting from a distance or you are taking more time in-between each shot. They have very high shield recharge rates and its most likely gather enough hp to survive the third. For example when im using proto com cannon, I can kill them in two, but only if I fire very shortly after the first shot. |
