Dear CCP,

Hey there. I have been saving up SP to finally go proto as a scout. I've avoided it till this point by shunting SP into everything imaginable that might pique my interest. I'm minimally invested in every light weapon in the game save the AR (out of principle I won't waste SP on an AR) - I even put some SP into dropships as a way to keep the game fresh. However, today I tried duplicating my advanced gallente scout shotgun fit on a militia caldari medium and the results were...uhm...unflattering for the scout suit.

At this point with all of this saved isk I'm pretty sure i can decently level up to an advanced caldari assault frame. What is stopping me? You need to tell me what is in store for scouts so I don't blow almost 4 weeks worth of isk on something that i won't want to use later. It's either that or give me a respec.

ACTUALLY if the AR is balanced to fullfil its real purpose (Short-Mid range) It will get to be a Scout Favourite IMO....

AS Assault weapons TAC/BRST/RAil Rifles/SCr rifles will be prefered choice because of range....

Are we even in development!?
What's being done? nothing, since they aren't even working on us.
The second they start, that's when they will let us know.
Will there be a way to take off skill points in stuff we don't want to use anymore?
I did the silly mistake of skilling into pro light frame because I thought it was a requirement for the scout suit. What a waste!
I also did other silly mistakes to the skill tree.

LOL 4 weeks, and you think your hard pressed? Many are way deeper into gimping themselves. And by the way your gimped. Not specializing means a huge majority of players are better equipped then you, even players that started after you did. Do you understand that you have a huge amount of wasted SP that should be on the field (all at once attached to your suit).

The Caldari Assault suit is great. So is the Gal Scout suit. Both are working fine so use what ever works best with your playing style. As the Caldari Assault suit is usually a shield base tank (fast moving and self healing). AND you don't like the AR (Don't blame you, its the easiest to use, powerful,...ly boring) I would suggest also specializing into a single weapon to get the damage bonus you should already have Shield tanking works best at range with some cover or scrambler rifle would be my pick, but laser rifle would also be effective, so would a MD... And I suggest the SM as your sidearm. Pro Tip: Cal Ass suit - Once you lose your 400+ shields hide until they recharge, don't go charging in.
