Finally got some answer to the Warbarge and they are good ones. Through out my time on Podside this has been a recurring topic on our show because its been a concern to EVE Nul Sec Pilots. When I heard what CCP is doing with it, it seem like they actually listen to what we wanted. Good Job
1st I'd like to state that this info may change over time. Now on with the Post...
First off it will be Piloted in Space and can be attacked by EVE Pilots while traveling http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a608/ZionShad/Image46_zps6fce694c.jpg
Once in orbit around the planet, it will "Anchor" to and can then deploy MCC's http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a608/ZionShad/Image47_zps7d413c87.jpg
Now once in this "Anchor" state, EVE Pilots won't be able to attack it any longer and it will be up to ground forces to fend off. http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a608/ZionShad/Image48_zps1a066956.jpg
The Warbarge will also play a part in Planet mining and the moving of resources (Which can be STOLEN) http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a608/ZionShad/Image49_zps1006021d.jpg
http://s1286.photobucket.com/user/ZionShad/media/Image50_zpsfe2be761.jpg.html?sort=3&o=10
All Pics are from the EVE Vegas presentation of whats to come for DUST 514 and you should go find the Vid now and watch. |

Well My guess is that the first model will be from the Amarr, so a bit rounded. http://www.eveonlineships.com/immagini/examples/amarr_battleships_apocalypse.jpg |

So would an attack end when the battle is won/lost or when the warbarge is out of clones, mcc's, or whatever? I would like to see PC be decided by more than a single battle. If an alliance can keep throwing war barges at a district, then they should be able to keep attacking. Currently a large corp can't use it's numbers to any real advantage other than possible multi time zone coverage. |

We as players were looking more for the Hardcore experience, so CCP going strait at it and with that I'd see it as the War would rage on until the Warbarge is taken care of or resources are no more.
Now how this plays out in FW may not be the same for Null Sec |

Not so true. I would see a lot of EVE Corps sending out contracts or attempting to recruit whole DUST Corps to their side... and there is a lot of sides in Null |

So we go to war wait for the battle. clones get killed in space waisted our time waiting?
Hopefully we can have a game mechanic that let's us know the status of our clones, the last thing we need is more waiting around not shooting people in the face.
I get this is to bring more interaction between eve and dust. But what kind of retribution do dust players have against that of a corp from eve side? We just loose isk clones and time?
Hopefully some one in your corp has the time to make connections eve side and give them enough money to get your clones to the district to play a skirmish match.
So a big corp comes in eve side and they essentially makes any corp they choose irrelevant in dust cause their clones will never reach their destination? Sounds fun. how do we fight back?
If connecting planets/systems dont need eve pilots then problem could be solved at least a corp can fight planet to planet. |

No no, and Ive brought this up in our show once and will do so again tomorrow night. Yes clones will be in the barge but it wont be you sitting in it. Youll be doing FW or Pub matches and then the battle timer will show up like it does now. No time wasted, but you might be disappointed if you don't get the fight due to a pop.... |

Yeah there are a lot of sides in Null, but then look at our player count and then consider how many of those are actually interested in PC and then when you consider how EVE side people can just throw around enough money to make what we do irrelevant or hell even just getting contracted or recruited by those eve players kills our autonomy, instead of attacking where we want and making our little kingdoms and writing our own narrative like the marketing material says now we would be at the whims of eve players and their plans especially since the war barge needs to be physically moved to a planet to attack
Example: You're thinking of attacking someone for the sake of attacking and having fun but the eve corps in your alliance decide no, they want you to go here instead of there and because you have no pilot of your own for the war barge you either do what they say, decide not to fight at all, or leave entirely and hope that maybe you can find another alliance with some guys who have the same mindset as you |

Yes I figured we would not be waiting in the barge however most corps set up a half hour before. So we are still waiting and preparing for the battle and then the pilots late! No shows gets killed still a huge waste of time dust side. Especially since multiple battles are usually scheduled with 10-20 min intervals. So you could sit in merc quarters for hours with each of your ships not showing for many reasons. How is that fun for dusties who want to shoot each other in game?
How do we even know or control what time the pilot arrives what if he stops for hookers and booze?
Way too many variables that we as dust mercs have no control over. |

Okay give a Hi-sec variant ran by NPC's cheap but generates limited materials CONCORD throws limit on districts held by a corp/alliance limited eve support allowed Low-sec Ran by players moderate cost moderate reward needs little maintenance 0.0 Variant Large cost Large Reward large maintenance |

Well it would be what your signing up for....
Now Corp battles look to be coming back, so if you want to get your fight on with someone for fun, ISK, whatever then you should have that option. And there is always Faction Warfare.
Who know, maybe CCP will keep MH open for those that want to own land and not be in Null Sec or effected by EVE Pilots in that regarde |

From what I can tell in null it will be for both, PC in Null will function much like FW does, allied dust corps will influence each side's timers.

I think it's more about the PI and recourses then timers for Null. Check out #144 of Podside on iTunes it starts talking about how much more is being made in Planets over moon and now an eye from pilots is looking towards Dust mercs |

It's still in pre production stage and they hadn't finalized anything yet. CCP is still trying to find a way for dust players to use it , one idea is a contract system to hire eve pilots , but its still an idea . |
