I love my God. I love my Empress. I love all followers of the Amarr faith. And I love all the brave soldiers In have fought beside on the battlefield in the name of the Amarr Empire. One could also say I love those I have fought against, as without them, each battle and/or victory would feel devoid of glory and honor.

Well i think i fell back in love with my logi dropship. 
You know back when i first meet her she was so enchanting. I remember how i grinded through the other dropships to prepare myself for her, but when i got her she was a completely different gal. She flew different looked different... hey i might even say her insides felt different  .
But then as time went by i only started to see her flaws. she was too slow and fat. She didn't produce as much blueberries as i wanted and i blamed her for all that. I didn't touch her and we begun to not see eachother anymore. I used to open my vehicle menu and think "oh god, that useless sh**!"
Then the assault dropship came and I fell for her sexy speed and pilot turret. After all she was everything the logi dropship wasn't. The assault dropship never failed to pleasure me. She was a temptress a beautiful temptress. And she made me forget about my logi. But then cash started getting tight however the assault didn't stop her thist for isk, so i was forced to use her a little less.
coincidentally at this times 1.5 hit along with that transport assist. And that immediately brought my logi back into my mind. So i booted up Dust, started a match and called in my logi for the first time in a long time. And I had a blast with my first and true love!!
Yeah. She didn't produce a lot of blueberries like i wanted but that one that came out gave a pretty good payout. And i found that a afterburner on that juicy ass looks soo nice. I guess it wasn't your falt for being slow after all. Now she's getting all the plates and mods she can handle and they're making yellow the new white.
Now im convinced that we are made for eachother. I don't dare touch that tart assault dropship anymore.

You burned our planet, destroyed our ship that was protecting our sovereignty, and pretend to do so in the blatant lie of bring us 'freedom.' Freedom is where I put my dollar. Long live the State.
That aside, I actually love the backstory to EVE and DUST. It is impressively dense and has massive believability within its fictional setting (verisimilitude). I am really quite surprised that such a great, massive story is only found in a game that is mostly sandbox. If there was ever a gaming story that cried for a movie or a television series, EVE is up there.
Seriously, what each political entity is doing, the warfare happening, seeing two totally un-before seen nations (the Caldari and the Minmatar are extremely alien to anything we have seen before; not to say that the Gallente or Amarr are less interesting, but we have seen center-left democracy lovers and Holy Roman Empire-esque empires elsewhere), how the little people scratching out a living in space amongst the pirates, capsuleers and massive espionage would make for a HELL of an interesting television series. It would basically be Game of Thrones in Space. |
